Enjoyed the food. Wait staff did not know English (not that they should) so ordering from the English/German menu was a must. The food was very good. Would dine here again. Enjoy!

Great choice of beer and authentic German food. My husband had the pork knuckle and loved it! Quite pricey, but nevertheless good food.

1/2 Schweinshaxe and a Schankhauspfanne were great and I do still wonder, who is eating a whole pork knuckle in this restaurant.

We spent the day in Dresden and had a fabulous lunch at this restaurant. We all loved our meals. Everything was so fresh and delicious. We ate outside on a gorgeous day. Our server was so nice. It was a perfect lunch in a perfect town.

Good Food, great beer, and if you are sitting out, a view of the church and the plaza ... nothing much that can go wrong with this combo, is there? I played safe and ordered a German Sausage ... but if adventurous / hungry enough, you should try the Pork Knuckle here.

We had a wonderful, outdoor lunch and enjoyed it immensely. The salad was outstanding. The setting is great, and very comfortable. The beer was cold and the service was efficient. A great spot to grab a bite and take in the world walking by.

The patio is very nice, and you have a lovely view of the main plaza and church. We had dinner here and it was OK, average, not bad. Beef tartare( extra charge for the egg) then a pork and trout dish. But there are many other places in the city that offer better German food for the same price.

My dinner at Freiberger Schankhaus was a nice way to finish my 1 week's trip to Dresden. The house specialty Schweineschnitzel and apple strudel were both very tasty. I also had a Freibergifch Bockbier to go with my meal. Excellent value for money.

We wanted a German meal for lunch and we were not disappointed eating here. We enjoyed the beer and our meals which were really tasty and filling. Spot on after sightseeing on a cold miserable day. Cosy place and reasonable prices. The staff could try to smile.
