only 4 minutes walking distance to the Hotel Maritim and we experienced this wonderful reastaurant of Saxonian style and tasty local cooking. Top, that´s what each of us felt after dinner

Popped in for an unexpectedly early dinner due to a rather damp end to an afternoon in Dresden. Staff were immediately attentive and helpful. Ordered Pork Schnitzel, plus a dark beer which arrived in short order. The schnitzel was simply enormous! It was certainly the biggest I've been served, and almost covered the entire plate! The crispy coating on the... More

We are lucky to have such a great place just around the corner from our flat. The cuisine is very good quality German with as you would expect, several game dishes on the menu. The giant pork schnitzel is a challenge for a hungry person! The staff are always attentive and pleasant. The interior is decorated with hunting scenes and... More

It's bit out of the way but the service was friendly and the value for money is crazy. I would recomend reserving at the weekends/Friday's as it was pretty packed.

We visited Zum Schiesshaus on a Saturday evening in late August - we were looking for some German food near our hotel and this seemed perfect. However, when we arrived service was extremely slow; we had to wait ages for anyone to come and give us a menu and then even longer for our drinks and food. The restaurant didn't... More

A favorite restaurant for natives of Dresden. We stood at the doorway for 10 minutes then just found an empty table and sat. Noisy and busy restaurant filled with Germans enjoying beer, stews and schnitzel. Waitress spoke minimal English but did find an English menu. Service was slow, not sure if we were supposed to order at the bar and... More

Incredible food, atmosphere and service. My husband had the duck/venison/pheasant and said it was the best duck he'd ever had. I had the perch fillet and loved it. Presentation was beautiful, food was hot, flavorful and plentiful. The apple strudel was the best we had while we were in Dresden. Others in our party had other dishes that made me... More

Nice garden, good location, good food and bier. I ordered the riesenschnitzel: the menu warns you that it is big; in fact, it's huge! Waiters are helpful (a lady fetched an English menu for me)

Thanks to Trip Advisor we went to this delightful restaurant and weren't disappointed. The food was ample and hearty. We sat outside on a hot summers evening and felt we were amongst locals as it was away from the tourist area.

Although this pub is somewhat hidden away, it is worth a visit. Good atmosphere and the meals are great. The biggest schnitzel I have ever seen! Good service, good beer.
