This building is situated at the corner of the central market and has a great view. The food is ok but their dessert (cake & icecream) is faboulous. Not too expensive for this type of location. Conclusion : a definite go especially if you're in too desserts.

Nice location to have lunch, the food was OK, the wine not as good as we tasted at quite a number of other locations, the desert (chocolate cake) was fantastic. Friendly personnel.

An authentic old gothic wine cellar. Plenty of place for small and larger groups. Food is excellent, plenty and of very good quality. Service is very polite and fast. Like in most (quality) restaurants they do have a very beautiful, extended winecart. Plenty of choice of first quality wines. Beware for their ice desserts: huge ! Realy a place to... More

The weather was perfect and we sat outside. My wife for the pasta and shrimp while I got the schnitzel. Mine was dry but hers was amazing. Large selection of wines. But like every where else all water has carbonation. The service was slow to bring the bill, but expect that from ever where in Europe. Ever get a chance... More

I had lunch here with some friends over the weekend. The place is easy to find and right on the market. The food is Italian and we all had spaghetti. The prices are decent and the servings were about right. They have a good selection of beer and wine as well. They also have the best cakes and pies as... More

This is a cute restaurant located in an old cellar right on Trier's main square. Food is German with Russian dishes thrown in for variety. Try one of the many schnitzel dishes. You won't be disappointed in the generous portion sizes or the quality of the food at very reasonable prices.

Had lunch here on a day trip to Trier. We had traditional food including wild boar and chose an interesting oat beer (Schöfferhofer Hefeweizer) from the small list. The atrium-style restaurant is in the courtyard of an old house, with an ancient carved stone door lintel, well restored. The front of the building is a patisserie and chocolatier

We were comfortably seated in a glass-roofed courtyard. Friendly service. Clean. There was a good choice of breakfasts. Our choices tasted good. At last, t he freshly squeezed orange juice was freshly squeezed.

We ate in the Ratskeller downstairs from the Steipe but it's part of the same restaurant. The Ratskeller offers a large vaulted cellar and a good range of German food along with some Russian specialities. Service was warm and efficient and the wine list reasonably priced. We choose mains of grilled prawns and pike perch on spinach with noodles followed... More

This place offers indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is nice. The food was good. Not special, but good and fairly priced. Bathrooms are upstairs. There is a pastry shop in front. I think it might have been one of our best options. We had a grilled turkey pasta. The special was sold out but looked good.
