Small children friendly, with baby chairs. The manu is quite short but everyone finds something to eat. German kitchen but not kind of "old style". The dishes are tasty food.

Good lunch with very friendly service. I had a salmon gravlax with crispy potatoes which was perfect for lunch. The prices are reasonable and our waitress spoke English and was very sweet. Ask for the English menu if you need one.

While sightseeing in Trier and getting hungry for German fare we came across Theo and since an outside table was available my husband and I sat down as a cute waitress approached us with a menu. We decided on sausages in brown sauce, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut and carrots and parsley. A great choice indeed. The meal was washed down with... More

Stopped in for a beer after a guided tour as the Porta Nigre - Black Gate was the meeting point for our group. The beer and service was great! The people watching amazing!

Adorable restaurant in great location. When we stopped in we thought being so much a part of the tourist area, the food would be marginal. It was a nice surprise to get delicious German food at a very reasonable price. Staff was pleasant and attentive.

We stopped at this pub for dinner after arriving in Trier. The service was friendly and helpful right from the beginning. We choose to sit outside and enjoy the view. The dinner was delicious and we would definitely eat here again.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Theo. Lots of traditional dishes and many with local flavors...the specials included fresh Chanterelle mushrooms served in a variety of ways. Very helpful servers to guide you through the menu. Easy to find since it is right adjacent to the Tourist Information office near the Porta Nigra.

We had dessert one night which was very good. Their outside sign for strudel lured me in, and it was excellent. Ate dinner the next night and the food was good, not great. The location, especially in the evening, is very nice as you can see the Porta Nigra with lights. We chose to sit outside and much of our dinner... More
