This is the restaurant everyone hopes to find when they travel to Germany. The atmosphere is so inviting, the service is friendly and quick (but not rushed), and the food is some of the best in the country.

Enjoyed a nice and memoriable anniversary dinner. Although steaks in Germany can be lacking, we decided to try them after reading reviews on Trip Advisor, we weren't dissapointed! They turned out excellent, cooked exactly how I asked. Prices were typical and reasonable. The decorarions were outstanding! Definitly will visit again in the near future.

Read the reviews and decided to give this restaurant a try. I have been to a few places in Trier and each was good...this place was great! If you go during the week and before 8PM, you shouldn't have a problem getting a table. The wait is going to be long...but it is sooo worth it. The food is great...I... More

This was a highlight of out trip. Fantastic steak with roast potatoes. Great wine recommended by our wonderful waitress. German wining, dining and hospitality at its best. Well worth the short taxi ride out of town.

We had one of the most interesting meals that we have ever had while traveling. First, we took the city bus (#6) from Trier because I intended to drink and did not want to drive. We knew the bus stopped running around 6 so we would have to walk back and, while it took about 30 minutes, it was a... More

A friend of mine booked two tables for our group, about 15. I heard that reservations are necessary, and this was proved to be true. All tables were occupied. Service was efficient and friendly. The staff spoke enough English for any non German speakers to feel at ease. The interior décor is typical Authentic German pub/restaurant. This is a family... More

Restaurant Herbert Overbillig is definately one of these. The meals they are serving are extremely delicat - as if the chef has used hours just with YOUR specific meal. Amazing I think.... More

This restaurant is set in a neighborhood away from the town by a few miles. Well worth finding. The owner / chef came to our table as we do not speak much German. He was extremely helpful. One of the best steaks I've ever had in Europe. The place was full of locals, not a tourist in there. All good,... More

We were staying close by to here and had a great meal. Waitresses were lovely and the food and local wine was delicious. A great place to bring the family. Nice one.
