After walking around the city and seeing the sights we found this gem. Food and service was excellent, truly excellent. They 6 of us all ate different items and shared them all. The mushroom soup was divine, the schnitzel, veal meatloaf, sauerkraut with sausage and meat bacon, pork fillets, potato dumplings to name a few. All washed down with multiple... More

The restaurant is located at the central market square, the Hauptmarkt. Dishes are what you might call tipically German. Good value for money. Friendly service. We were sitting outside in front of the restaurant, overlooking the lovely market square, but they've also got a garden at the back side of the restaurant.

Our tour group had our first dinner at this charming restaurant Beautiful setting - amazing wine list. I tried a flight of semi sweet whites - delicious Mosel region wines. I selected medallions of pork - tasty. Salad and desert rounded out our meal

We sat there for a view on the Dom but a look at the menu revealed they had authentic Roman specialties. If you were wondering what Romans ate this would be an experience to remember. Really tasty and unique to try. I have not even seen something like this in Rome. Really a must visit.

Their "Roman menu" echoes to what might have been served in Trier 2000 years ago and is well worth it. Loved the wine cocktail and artichoke salad. My husband had a perfectly cooked fish dish. Plus, they had a kids menu, which is always a bonus.

This restaurant is located right on the Markt and has indoor and outdoor seating. We went on a Tuesday night for dinner and had no problem getting seated inside. The tables are nicely separated allowing for privacy. The room was generally quiet but it was far from full so that may be different if they have a crowd. Service wasn't... More

Just in front of the Dom and Our-Lady-Church. From the outside terrace you have a very beautiful sight, especialy at evening when both buildings are lit. Service was very good, very polite and fast. The food: in sufficient large quantities and quality. Your choice should be typical german food. An abundance of good qwuality wines: the Mosel-region. The open interior... More

This rustical restaurant is easily detected thanks to its central situation. Large guided tourist groups can be received since it is quite huge with tables inside and ouside. Nevertheless, it is cosy and becomes still cosier after a sample of good local wines (mostly white wines) which go very well with the regional meals. You can also choose ancient Roman... More
