Writing this review as we both really enjoyed the Thai food we had at Ban Thai restaurant. They have a very extensive menu so finding something you would enjoy will be found somewhere on the menu. We started off with the grilled chicken on a stick with the Thai peanut sauce -- delicious. Our main entrees consisted of Panang Curry... More

The restaurant is not very easy to find but worth searching for. The restaurant itself is very well decorated, the service is very good and there is a lot a variety on the menu. The meals are excellent and made with quality fresh vegetables. You also have the choice of how spicy you want your plate. Overall a very nice... More

Enjoyed my meal here - ate way too much though - the food was delicious. Great service - all the staff are actually Thai. The Panang Curry was a bit thin - but hey I'm being picky here because I used to live in Thailand. Delicious - go - you wont be disappointed.

We have been going to the "Ban Thai" for more than a decade. Never been disappointed and taken a lot of other friends around. Ban Thai is offering authentic Thai food in an amazing atmosphere. I can recommend you have a cocktail after the dinner.

I have eaten here on numerous occasions, both at lunchtime (lunch menu from €6.00 or thereabouts, add soup or spring roll for €2.00 extra) and in the evening. I have always found the food I ordered tasty & reasonable value. The restaurant is in a convenient location, within easy walking distance of the cathedral & the river. There are also... More

Thai restaurant seems to be run by Thai person. Large collection of menus including curries and many different types of woks. It is also quite cool to have the starter skewers being grilled in front of you on the table. It's probably milder taste that fits local customers than authentic Thai food. They used carrots in stead of blue papaya... More

Food is simple but not good, most people inside seemed to enjoy though. I found the starters we had simply dreadful as fried in vegetable oil that seemed to be year old. Main courses were somewhat better, but still far from good. I had a noodle dish that was burnt, any student could do better. My partner's dish was all... More

I ate at the Ban Thai on a Monday night at 8:30pm and the restaurant was packed, mostly with locals. This for me was a good sign of things to come...I wasn't disappointed. The atmostphere of the restaurant is fantastic. You feel like you're in Thailand. It wasn't too loud either, nor (as Americans) did our group feel like we... More
