Many of german friends recommend me to come here for real german food. They said it is the best place for german dish in the city! and YES! it definitely is! I ordered "Schnitzel" which is my favorite german dish and it was great! so big! I could not finish it. The waitress is also very nice and helping us... More

This place had an awesome German feel from top to bottom. The food was great, and so so huge, I couldn't finish a pork knuckle at all. The beer was tasty and the crowd was humming. Worthy of the number 1 spot for sure!

The ambiance is greate for a crowd. Many locals or foreigners add to the diversity. We were there during the football matches. The cheering added to the fun. We sat at the open area and were amused by the supporters of Italy passing by. A strong Italian supporter who lived in a flat across the street provided entertainment to the... More

Spend a lot of time in Germany, an am constantly looking for great food. This place is in a good location near parking garage but outside of the main town center. I would come again if in the area. Ordered the sausage with potatoes and sauerkraut. And 3 liters of dunkel.

I ordered a typical German Haksi, the pork is well prepared and very generous portion. The pork scratchings is so crunchy and heavenly. The taste is so nice . I cannot finish one order as it is massive. The place is very. Inside you can see the barrels of German beer they brewed inside the premises. Will definitely come back... More

Two of my business colleagues and I went to Eisgrub Brau for a simple German meal our second night in Mainz. This place definitely fit the bill. We all got the dark beers but they also had a pilsner. You could get a mug (which we did) or even a yard of beer in a large tube. Since there were... More

My husband took me to this wonderful restaurant on a evening and I really liked the architecture style of the whole place; just like an old castle. Before eating or drinking anything you could enjoy the beautiful cozy place. Normally it's very crowded but you can find a table somewhere. U could go in and in and in I mean... More

This bar/restaurant is a maize of tunnels that just go on and on. The beer is great and there is a good choice on the menu. A top place and a must to visit.

Well, its an institution in Mainz. They are brewing their own beer and its quite good (tasty and smooth). The atmosphere is nice (old brewery design). You will meet a lot youngsters and tourists there. The only deficit is the food, with a medium quality.
