I always visit this place when I'm in the area. Excellent traditional & regional food, well cooked and tasty. The beer brewed on site is superb, choice of light or dark. You can order a 5 litre table top tube with a tap so you can share with friends and fill your glass. We'll priced. Staff are friendly. There are... More

The place got some typical German food and they make their own bier. The food was quite tasty and good standards. The restaurant and staffs is cosy and nice. Prices are also quite good! I recommended option.

It has everything a brauhaus needs: good food, fine beers and friendly personnel (well, apart from one lady who possibly had a hangover). I have nevertheless some doubt if the owners are not eastern european.

Love love love Eisgrub! I love the beer, the food, the atmosphere... everything really! I have organized many events here and always take friends or family when they come to town. Order the "schweinhaxe" or german pork knuckle and a "bier turm" or beer tower. English menu is available!

Really cool old German brew haus, more than decent food and delicious brew. No frills here, but excellent service and a real taste of Germany. A bit of a walk from town but worth it.

Checked out the restaurant on trip advisor beforehand looking for a good local German place. It was our first night in Germany and we were jet lagged and wanted a simple, casual restaurant. Eisgrub Brau was absolutely perfect. Service was great, food was excellent! Weinershnitzel was out of this world good, and my wife's bratwurst was almost as good. It... More

Travelled to Mainz in March of 2016 and happened on this spot. Beautiful older building with concaved ceiling with copper pipes carrying their own beer. One Schnitzel fan ordered up and go the largest portion of veal he had ever seen, nicely breaded and covered in a creamy mushroom gravy. Side of sauerkraut topped it off. Vegetarian was a little... Good brewery. The best place for lunch and dinner. Plates are as big as you can imagine or manage to eat. The price and quality are the best in town. Besides, their own beer is also good enough. They even can talk Russian with you!

Many of german friends recommend me to come here for real german food. They said it is the best place for german dish in the city! and YES! it definitely is! I ordered "Schnitzel" which is my favorite german dish and it was great! so big! I could not finish it. The waitress is also very nice and helping us... More
