These guys upheld their Michelin star just this month and their talent was reflected in many of their delightful small plates. The three of us enjoyed the 8-course tasting menu with a 4-glass wine pairing, the latter of which definitely got me buzzed. Service was very attentive and each dish was presented by one of the chefs. The wine was... More

Finally the Nöthels have the Michelin Star they deserve. And know what? Nothing has change since they received it earlier this year, only the good is always getting better. The wine cellar is huge (although they still don’t have a wine menu) and the service is outstandingly good. Very private atmosphere as well.

I was lucky enough to get a table with my wife at Am Kamin last Saturday with a late reservation. It was not quite what I expected, it was instead significantly above my expectation. When dining together my partner is often kind enough to drive meaning I can enjoy the wine pairing but she is left without much choice for... More

This an unusual restaurant which is well worth a visit. There was no wine but the the waiter made recommendations and offered tastings before we made our choice. The choice was made with some trepidation because it was made solely on taste with no reference to price but when we received the bill the price was less then €30 per... More

I ate twice at this restaurant at the recommendation of the owner of the little hotel and restaurant where I was staying. As everyone now knows, it recently got a Michelin star. Do NOT go with that in mind. It does not, in my view, reach that level. However it is extremely reasonably priced and the staff, in particularly the... More

Its in a superb location, hard to find without GPS. You will feel that you are in a mountain and not in a city. The staff is perfect as wel as the food. It is worth visiting. A little bit expensive, but hey, you are not going to do visit it every day. Worth going to and you will feel... More

I was recently a guest at a dinner held at Am Kamin. We had been driven out from Dusseldorf and it seems to me it is a little tricky to find ...... but what a find! The building is all authentic old-world charm. The service gracious and professional. The young chef is very talented and his kitchen team and servers... More

This was the best restaurant by far in Mulheim. The food was well and elegantly prepared. I think the price of the food is fair for the quality and service you get. They also have English menus which is a plus. If you order the steak make sure to tell them medium or well. My husband had his brought to... More
