As the title says my last visit here was on business. When I asked the concierge at my hotel were the locals go to eat he recommended Im Fuchschen. With out a doubt you will find typical hearty German fare that will have you absolutely stuffed. The beer is traditional Alt Beer that is tasty. If you are hungry have... More

I really liked this place. It's very traditional and I liked it for this. The staff were friendly and efficient, even on a busy Saturday night. It's a very tidy and clean place and I would recommend making sure you remember to put your beer mat over your glass when you are done as you will end up very drunk!... More

Great place to go when visiting Dusseldorf for the first time or your 20th. Fuchschen Altbier is one of my favorites and you get it here as fresh and delicious as it comes. The traditional German decor helps create a great atmosphere to enjoy your meal. The food was well-prepared and reasonably priced, with a nice variety of traditional German... More

I don't have to explain the thing with the Altbier breweries in Düsseldorf. You know it! I liked this location a lot because of the friendly atmosphere, the mix of old and young guests, my pork knuckle which had simmered for a while in a delicious sauce, and the Alterbier was the second best for me after the Uerige Altbier.... Don't be afraid of the seemingly rude waiters if you don't speak German. They're not rude, just direct and want to keep things moving. Don't be afraid to order in English... you will need to translate a bit for the menu though if you have no knowledge of German food. It's all really good though and the atmosphere is really... More

I arrived at the busiest time last week without a reservation and the manager very nicely sat me with two local gentlemen from Düsseldorf. The house beer was excellent and the suggested roast duck was generous, crispy and had just the rights amount of fat. Overall had an excellent time with the locals.
