Went here on our first night in the old town after good TA reviews and weren't disappointed. Good mix of locals and tourists and not quite as rowdy as some of the places on Bolker St. Waiter was surprisingly helpful given our other experiences in Düsseldorf. Good beer, although better Kotzen in my opinion, and food also enjoyable, although better... More

With all positive reviews, we decided to try out this place during our visit to Düsseldorf. We ordered Schnitzel, Eisbein and Schweinenackensteak, accompanied by their Altbier. All well prepared, generous portions, really good German food! Service (non-stop kitchen) was friendly and fast, all in all we can only recommend this place!

A local friend took us here to sample a variety of traditional dishes from this part of Germany as well as the local beer. It is a big place but we sat outside in the sunshine which is also a good place to 'people watch'. The beer is really very good as well. The menu is quite varied but they... More

Located in the quiet old town, or what little remains of it this place is busy and alive. The beer is good despite the fact that those from Cologne will tell you that it is watery! Food is fine for lunch with plenty of options. Service is ok considering how busy the place is.

If you wish to have the German Food and Alt experience then I can highly recommend Fuchschen. The Food is excellent, and the Alt superb. You cannot go wrong......unless you wish to have a salad and drink White wine!!

Located a bit off the beaten track in the old town, this is THE place if you are into beer or just like to have a good time. They brew their own stuff on site, said to be the best in Dusseldorf and the Fuchschen is very popular known amongst locals for a drink or two (and some food if... More

Went here for my first German Altbier, very good beer, lighter than it looks, smooth taste. Had the bratwurst, which was very savory and a good portion!

Our first evening here and we went on an adventure. Having searched Trip Advisor for a good place to eat in the city and I'm Fuchschen came up first. . One thing to say... Come here hungry or be prepared to leave food as the portions are very large. Starters are not needed here. Price was also very reasonable especially... More
