Went here for my first German Altbier, very good beer, lighter than it looks, smooth taste. Had the bratwurst, which was very savory and a good portion!

Our first evening here and we went on an adventure. Having searched Trip Advisor for a good place to eat in the city and I'm Fuchschen came up first. . One thing to say... Come here hungry or be prepared to leave food as the portions are very large. Starters are not needed here. Price was also very reasonable especially... More

Definitely one of, if not the best beers I have ever tried. On ratingen Straße, known to be a lot better than the normal of the altstadt. Brewery pub with traditional German cuisine. Portions are large. Make sure you have room for both, food and drink. 0.25 L Beer is 2€. Most dishes under 15€ but will sustain you. Lovely... More

A stay in Dusseldorf will not be complete without a visit to the Old Town and Im Fuchschen, with its traditional altbier and local food. The place is popular with both visitors and locals alike and, therefore, expect it to be busy. A great place to visit with a group of friends.

this is the archetypal Brauhaus of Düsseldorf, which produces it's own quite good (altbier is not my favourite) and famous Altbier (Füchschen Alt). Every city in germany has such a trademark brauhaus, this is the must-visit-one for the newcomer in Düsseldorf, but it's not a tourist place. The locals love it alike. They offers all the classic german (mainly meat)... More

Excellent atmosphere right in the heart of downtown Dusseldorf. I suggest you come here with an appetite, especially if you want to get the haxe. The portion is huge, mind you; thus, you can even share it. They have non-alcoholic beverages for the teetotalers as well as a great tasting Alt. Service was chaotic; keep in mind, the servers make... More

The waiter was very rude!!, the food is not great and the place has no ventilation. There are plenty other better places to eat in Düsseldorf.

Again extremely busy so ate elsewhere although I have eaten here before and it was excellent. Beer as usual was really good and second only to the Uerige which I prefer.
