Love the service food and beer, a must for any visitor to the Altstadt. Sample the local culture and stagger out!

Great example of a one-poduct german brewery. If you like Altbier, this is the place for you. Do. Not. ask for a Pils or Gin Tonic. You have been warned! When the weather is fine, outside is busier than the indside with tables and standing areas on both sides of the street. During the summer months, street performers and sometimes... More

We didn't actually realise this place served food until we popped inside on our last day for a final drink, as they do table service outside for beer! My boyfriend loved the beer so much that they brew here that he wanted to bring some home, we only didn't due to airline restrictions. He said it was easily the best... More

Well, this is one of the best Altbier breweries. And it's my favorite Altbier in Düsseldorf! You can sit outside especially in summer time but even now in autumn they had tents with radiators and many where sitting outside. Then you have the "main location" with restaurant etc. and then beside (on the right) a separated small bar which is... More

Nice atmospheric beerhouse to have a pint and share the air of a festival. Pribably not the best place for lunch/dinner as german cousine is rather specific. Good for a quick meal.

We only used the outside tables which are great as they have overhead heaters to keep you warm. The waiter just serves you the local Altbier and is always on hand when you need a refill. Great being outside people watching in this busy area.

Traditionally german place to be...for the house drafted beer and for the "feel" of being in Germany.

Nothing else than a real piece of german culture, preserved in a modern city. Service is "authentic", beer delicious, place nice to be!

My wife and I popped in for some alt and goulash on a cold and rainy day. Great atmosphere and good food and Alt. The waiters are attentive and the food is tasty.
