Well if you want to have the impression how a typical Izakaya looks and tastes like in Japan enter this restaurant please. Many Japanese are eating here and this is the best attribute for an authentic and good place to enjoy typical jp. food. Food taste & quality is outstanding There is also a Japanese menu available for special dishes... More

Good Japanese food in duesseldorf bit smokey cause of the bbq, but great bbq so that makes up for it. It's one of many very good Japanese restaurants in duesseldorf.

Oh!! Japan is in Düsseldorf. This city has the biggest Japanese community in Germany. So you'll find many Japanese restaurants. How to choose? Our hotel's manager and a local friend told us that the best restaurant is Kushi-Tei. Don't judge it by its facade (ugly). Inside, it felt like Japanese and European were kind of separated in two different rooms.... More

I used to love in Japan and this is 100% authentic Japanese food. We came without a reservation, which wasn't an issue, but we were early. The restaurant completely filled up later on. The staff are all Japanese and many customers are also from Japan. Very Japanese atmosphere, right from the beginning when customers are greeted with a hearty "irrashaimase"... More

Good food. Very nice sashimi and sushi. Wished there was more tempura choice (e.g. vegetables). Friendly staff - all of them! We were there on a Monday evening: place got full by 1900h and staff had to turn away lots of interested people who hadn't made reservations.

I have to admit I have never been to an Izakaya in Japan so I can't say if this is super authentic, but the food was great (by the way, the spicy ramen is .. actually really spicy and i *love* extremely spicy food). It's a bit bloody expensive though, so come with a fat wallet.

The place was packed with japanese peoples, my waiters speak little English. order a sashimi plate and special maki along with a 15cl beer. All together 40€... Not cheap but you do get quality fresh food in a truly "exotic" atmosphere.... Will return next time.

Tiny tables, weirdly staff but great food. Especially like the kobe beef dish, bit expensive however for once on a while it's OK.

From our point really one of the best restaurants outside Japan, if you are looking for BBQ! We like to go there as often as we have time, money and as far as we get a table. Little problem - you have to reserve in advance most of the time, since it's likely to be booked out.
