Absolutely loved the typical cultural interior they have created. The ambience is lovely. The beer is great. Should actually provide bigger glasses though to keep up the German name. The food tastes fantastic. Plenty of choices from German cuisine. Try it all over a period of time. The staff is helpful and fantastic. Totally recommend this place.

Any Dusseldorf visit require a dinner to Schumacher. Menu with poor choice but every dishes is very good. Pork leg is the best of the house. Beers are homemade and fantastic. A must....

We spend here business dinner, the food was quite average. Maybe if you like German cuisine, quite heavy and fat, you will like it. The ambience is loud, the restaurant is oldish (don't know if on purpose or because just it has been a while since they last did something in the restaurant). Obviously people do like it as it... They founded in 1836. The first beer house in Dusseldorf. I took my whole crew here and enjoy the evening very much. This place is very traditonal and tasty. I think most of people can enjoy the diner here unless they are on a diet.

We visited this famous restaurant with friends due to its fame. My friends have already been there before. It's a place you must try while in?Dusseldorf, it is very busy, big with very nice food, but i think it last its twist over the years... Needs new and innovative ideas!

This is a place, amid of the "Altstadt" where you could stop for a beer, or two, or more! But you could also sit and dine (in- or outdoor) very traditional German food. The service may seem kind of "rough" but this is how the beer brewery service generally is.
