Asparagus Season - even better for me than Oktoberfest. I ordered Asparagus Soup with Creme, a meatball and ham and asparagus plate for the table. Oh what fun this meal was. I have eaten this soup 3 days in a row and by far Frueh am Dom was the best so far.

Great place with fresh Kolsch beer. Great service. The food is wholesome. The beat thing is the fresh beer that they serve in small glasses but when you finish one, another magically appears! So it is always fresh.

we have been here many times over the last year living in cologne. the food is always fantastic and the kolsh is lovely. our personal favourites are the jager schnitzel & the Pork Knuckle but be warned the pork knuckle is HUGE so be hungry if you are ordering this. staff are quite friendly ... I believe its some tradition... More

House beer (Kölsch) "Frueh" was very smooth. Some waiters looked "craggy" but they were friendly and professionals. Suitable for family.

Dinner for two in our final night in Cologne. Not only was the food (pork knuckle and jäger schnitzel) excellent, but Herr Keller made the evening much more fun! His sense of humour and brilliant service made for a memorable evening... We'd be back all the time if we lived closer!

This restaurant is huge, you walk and see doors and doors, rooms and rooms, in a charming style. The waiter who serve us is very nice, he speaks a bit of Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, English. A funny guy. The salad has a tasty sauce, the meatball and schnitzel are ok. Good beer. The prices are ok.

Good beer but the staff is not friendly enough. They forgot to serve side salad. The food is OK. Location is great. worth try.

If you want to experience a typical German night, that's the place you're looking for. Great beer and good food in the most ancient brewery of Cologne.
