We had an evening meal here on a city break to Cologne. The staff were amazing, made sure that everyone had privacy and was comfortable. Food was gorgeous. Fresh and tasty. We had some requirements that they catered for. Couldn’t recommend highly enough
We ate here on our first night in Cologne and it was superb. The food was delicious and our waitperson called Yassime was excellent. So attentive and ensured we had a good experience. It was so good we returned on night 2 and we never...do that normally as we prefer to try different places.More
Wanted to visit this historic area so decided on this Italian "wine cellar" which has a fabulous history. Friday night and arrived early. Got a quiet table in the main room which has a lovely ambiance (the adjoining room was far too bright and the...opposite in terms of warmth and attractivenss). We had fabulous waiters who were most attentive and considerate. Order some cold appetizers (Bruschetta, Vit.Tonnato) which were excellent, followed by Salmon Steak dish and Veal (Saltimbocca). Lovely grilled vegatables accompanied the veal. the sauche could have been more wine/lemon and less starchy (gravely-like) or thick, but all in all, very satisfactory. Two great bottles of wine (Barbera D'Alba 2017, Tuscan Chianti) but most of all, the overall service and atmosphere made this choice a winner. Now we have to tell all of our friends in Cologne to visit this place. Perfect for a fall/winter stop because of the warm, dark brick interior. Great price-performance compared to any other Italian restaurant in Cologne. Prices are excellent. Serivce Top!! Thank you for everything.More
It is a cosy place to sit back and relax and have good food. The food was good. I really like the grilled vegetables dish. Chocolate mousse and creme brûlée were also yummy.
We were extremly wel taken care od by staff, nothing was missing. Our pasta, starters and also deserts were excellent. We enjoyed very much. Thank you. We come back
The place is warm and offers nice atmosphere upon entering. Though the service was slow, the food, when arrived, was tasty and did justice to its Italian claim. We spent there a couple of pleasant hours, eating and sipping the local beer. The place was...quite crowded on that Sunday evening, so making a reservation is advisable.More
The venue is located in the centre of Cologne where parking is problematic but the restaurant offers parking for free on their own parking lot if you eat there. The decoration of the restaurant is very interesting. It is a old aristocratic house with a...historic wine vault. The menu lists good Italian food. I had a fish soup which was yummy and sea bass as main course which was delicious. The service is very nice.More
We were a party of 6 having dinner here. The welcome was very friendly, and overall the staff did a very good job to make you feel comfortable. We had a 3 course meal and liked the antipasti a lot. The main course was great,...and we had so much food only a few took dessert. All the food was of good quality and we liked it a lot. We would definitively recommend this restaurant!More
We went in the middle of the week, no issue getting a table. The food was really nice, they have a selection of pasta, meat and fish dishes. The staff were friendly and service was excellent.
Really couldn’t fault anything the service was second to none as was the food. Steaks cooked to perfection and the rosemary potatoes and veg a very good accompaniment, desserts also very tasty.
The place is lovely like a cellar, the bruschetta was very very oily large portion could of shared The ravioli was so very rich and to creamy for me Lamb cooked to perfection the meals themselves were not very hot
We are staying 5 minutes walk from here, the city centre is busy and super touristy, we were looking for a quick fix on our late arrival, after an 8 hour train journey. On “men’s” day the city was rocking and a little bleak.... this...place didn’t look too promising, but tuned out to be a haven! Excellent food and service, maybe a little pricy, but it is right in the centre of town. We’ve now been back 3 times and can recommend it highly.More
Very good service and the ‘cellar’ surrounding made for a cosy feeling . Menus in a range of languages. Superb wine listing . I had the Ravioli and my 7 guests had fish - as fresh as it gets presented well and good value ....Nobody rushed us it simply flowed all night long . Very relaxed. RecommendedMore
lovely place good food helpful staff ...what more could we ask for ! scampi in garlic was divine and lamb fillets so juicy and tender. the assorted dessert selection is amazing to be shared between two. It made our last night in Cologne extra special....well doneMore
