It's worth venturing away from the centre of town and taking the tram to reach Heller's The beers (I tried quite a few of them) were all lovely, and the food was excellent. I had a sausage dish which was served with oven roast potatoes and a type of cauliflower cheese. Honestly, I could have just eaten plate loads of... More

This brauhaus was another of Cologne's excellent drinking places to come to for a decent beer and some wonderful food. The 2 bar staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. My partner had the red cabbage goulash and I had Bavarian meatloaf - washed down with some wonderful beer. Well worth a visit.

Great, tasty food, very good beer and pleasent atmosphere. Both kids and the adults were satisfied with their meals.

I had a plan in mind: to try the different local beer sortiments around Cologne. We've entered alot of breweries but the beer here was definitely the champion due to it's more intense flavour and its touch of bitterness . You really should try it.

An interesting decorated beerhouse situated somehow off the beaten track (if you're a tourist).Very crowded in the evening,if you haven't a reservation you have to be lucky to catch a place at a table. They serve a few kind of beer made by their own brewery, including kolsh, the local beer. The waiters speak english.

If you ever travel outside the Altstadt and beyond the famous Ring and you really want to taste Koeln, maybe combine it with watching a soccer game, then one of your first choices should be Heller's. A refined Koelsch, said to be retrieved shortly before full fermentation ends or Wiez, the unfiltered Koelsch,. Both are excellent choices and the waitress... More

A modern brew house with a small selection of beers. The Kolsch is nice but the bochbeer is far nicer if it's in season. The food is good and there are 3 vegetarian dishes (where some pubs in Cologne had none!). A good atmosphere and busy! Well worth a visit! Staff are friendly and attentive.

The brewery is around the corner and you can taste the beer in the bar. Very very calm in the end of the afternoon but the service was kind.

After enjoying the Heller's Kölsch in the Volksgarten, we thought we'd eat in the Brauhaus which is about a 10 min walk away. Excellent food and drink - we all had schnitzels (ok, so it's not typical Köln food) but sometimes you just need one! It was very quiet when we visited - a Wednesday early evening - I suspect,...
