The Jameson Distillery Pub & Restaurant is a pub I always enjoy visiting on any holiday I take to Cologne, always had a good time in here and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this pub, interior is superb, its a big Irish pub, dark wood features abound throughout this pub, an island style serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, all manner of bric a brac adorning the walls ,stained glass windows, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Friesenstraße. We were here on a cold and rainy December night, pub was surprisingly quiet but each table had a reserved sign on ,we found a table were we ordered a guinness each, these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we chilled out and planned out the night ahead while sipping our guinness. Guinness served in here was spot on ,thick,creamy and most importantly iced cold, while sipping our guinness this pub really filled up ,with lots of Premier league football being shown on the big screens I think the staff were in for a busy night. We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Jameson Distillery Pub & Restaurant we had a wonderful time. The Jameson Distillery Pub & Restaurant is easy to locate along Friesenstraße. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. Well worth seeking out if you're in the area.

Great guinness.

If there's one pub I know I am going to visit on any holiday I take to Cologne it's The Jameson Distillery Pub And Restaurant, a pub that offers a warm welcome and served great pub grub and has a fine selection of beverages. I love the look of this pub,its huge,the interior is awesome, exposed brickwork, tv's to enjoy the sport, a stage area for live music, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and all the Irish bric a brac adorning the walls you would expect to find in a good Irish pub, theres also plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside on their covered terrace, it's just one really good pub. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Thursday night, we had just been to Sadie's Irish Pub ( Gereonswall ) and enjoyed some great pints of guinness and as we were both in a guinness mood headed to The Jamison Distillery Pub And Restaurant, we got a table were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a guinness each,these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle,we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in while sipping our guinness. My guinness was exceptional, a thick,creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness,just a joy to drink. On this visit I cannot really comment on the meals as we were here only for guinness but I have ate here on many occasions over the years and the meals are just superb, proper pub grub. We really enjoyed our guinness in here and the great laid back vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another pint of the black stuff before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Jameson Distillery Pub And Restaurant is easy to locate along Friesentstraße. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, Midday till 1am. Friday & Saturday, Midday till 3am. Sunday, Midday till 1am. A great Irish pub ,one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.

We had a reservation with 6 people to eat in the pub. First of all we had a decent place to sit. Then the manager rudely drove us into a cat corner because there was a reservation for 8 people. In the new place, not even our plates really fit on the table, and our request to at least take the candle with us so that there was a little more space on the table was not granted. There was never any sign of the supposed 8 people, only 6 came. Apparently these were VIP guests and we were not welcome. If this is how you want to deal with guests who spend several hundred euros, I can only hope that the manager will soon be sitting comfortably alone with his VIPs. The process was extremely embarrassing, even for the very nice waitresses. Looking back, I have to say: we should have stopped the visit immediately and canceled the meal, because what we had experienced was not a worthwhile visit to a restaurant.

Rude Spanish Waitresses!!!

I was here to watch football on Wednesday night, 20th September and also on Saturday, 23rd September and had a wonderful experience with the staff, food and drinks 👍👍👍on both occasions. Today, I came with family to watch Arsenal vs Spurs at 3pm and encountered a horrible experience with 2 young Spanish waitresses. They were extremely rude and impolite! On top of that, they were speaking Spanish very loudly interrupting the atmosphere of this lovely pub! I sincerely hope as a customer who really enjoyed your pub, the management will seriously look into the conduct of your waitresses to prevent others from encountering similar experience.

Suspected Spanish woman who is bar manager

Visited multiple times and this woman lets the place down. Rude and mean. Fire her. Spanish older with nose ring. Thankfully she appeared to finish her shift by 6pm the 3 times I had been in but she is so unapproachable by customers and staff appear scared off her. Heads up the rest of the staff are great, lovely people. It’s just this one women who lets it down.

Unbelievable!! We were ignored because there were 5 of us sitting outside! I've never experienced anything like that before. Please come to us next time and address it in a friendly manner or recommend alternative places and don't leave us sitting there ignored for 30 minutes. It's a shame! Doesn't deserve a star. It's a shame that something like that happens in Cologne..

Absolutely outrageous. There were five of us there, we were ignored and then turned away with the explanation that we wouldn't be served as a group of five. However, there were still enough free seats outside where we could sit together in a larger group.

Located a little out of city centre, it is a fine large Irish bar. The food is excellent and very good value. Very very busy at night time with great entertainment. Huge amount of tvs so all sport is catered for. Serves a superb breakfast particulary on the morning after the night before. Recommend booking a table in advance for busy nights events

Called into the jameson foe a bite to.eat and a few drinks. What a beautiful spacious bar with super friendly staff & atmosphere. We were seated by our server Niamh from donegal who was excellent attentive & brilliant at her job . I had fish & chips & my wife had the gourmet chicken salad. Food was outstanding. Niamh served us all night , table service all night. These guys work so so hard. Karaoke was great craic . Overall a must visit if your in cologne 5☆☆☆☆☆

Ordered Coke Zero but got Pepsi-light. Yuck! Had to ask to have items taken off bill because we did not receive. Waitress was unfriendly throughout meal. We discussed not returning because of this experience. We needed to stop at another restaurant to get more food.

Irish pub walking distance from Koln Hbf. A large seating area outside and dark and roomy inside. The weekend nights are very busy with large crowds with standing room only. The staff are friendly and service is quick. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere lively.

I went in to watch a Liverpool game. Good set up with lots of TVs - bigger place than it looks too. Bit of a terrace outside Pretty near shopping area Nice enough place. Usual drinks. Staff were a bit wrapped up talking to each other but service was ok / good enough

Jameson Irish bar; your bouncer ( 5’11 man with glasses) is an aggressive sexist bully. After enjoying a couple of afternoon beverages in the establishment, a friend and I attempted to enter again later in evening, on the same day, only to be told in an intimidating and aggressive manner that we could not enter because we were men and because the ratio of men to women in the pub (at the time) was to high. Clearly the above is not acceptable in the 21st century, and as a result I would not recommend this place to anyone visiting the beautiful city of Cologne.
