Nice place to stay, perfect typical ambient but the food is not to that particular. 20€ for one course and a bit hungry at the end.

This place makes some of the best fish dishes I have ever tried. It is also ideally placed on the promenade of the harbour of Rostock and the atmosphere inside is very traditional for this area. They also suggested an amazing Riesling to go with the fish plate I have ordered. The restaurant does not have to many small tables,... More

One of our favorite restaurants and we eat here when we can. Last year it was fully booked when we were in town, so this visit was after two years. The menu is nearly the same although prices have edged up a little. Still very reasonable. Huge servings. The special plate with 3 fish fillets came with a skewer packed... More

For lunch we went to the Kogge. The staff was very friendly. The has been good and we enjoyed our stay. The Kogge offers local specialities and evergreens from the region.

Other reviewers have mentioned the nautical decor. Also, the ceiling trim is carved wood depicitng nautical scenes. Beautifully done. I don't remember the German name of the fish I ordered. On the English menu it was rose something. The fish was lightly battered and cooked perfectly. Very flaky. It came with mashed potatoes and a squash zucchini medley in a... More

Very very very good place!! I was there three times on week and wanted be there more but it's very popular place at locals, and if you really want get there you need to reserve table beforehand. But it's worth it! Excellent cuisine! Delicious fish and meat! Rostocker pils is rock! Recommend plaice "mit brattkartofielen" 👌 perfecto

Outstanding! Many Swedes and cruise ship passengers come to Rostock, but this restaurant is the reason. Friendly service, fresh ingredients, and the mixed fish platter is out of this world. I don't write reviews; this restaurant is the exception.

We love this place, you almost can't get better fish somewhere else in Rostock. It doesn't look like a five star restaurant, but the food definitely deserves five stars

This is a place worth a visit in Rostock. Very authentic sailor restaurant near the old City Harbour. Good food and beer.

Food was quite reasonable, found the service only alright - efficient but not pleasant. The decor is ok, quite kitsch. Wouldn't jump to recommend the place, but it does the job.
