The restaurant is elegant and aristocratic. But hey, i cam to eat....why does it take so long to prepare a Schnitzel? It is just Schnitzel. Once it arrives, it's good. The side dish - rushty - was half backed. Yet, i do recommend the restaurant for those looking for fine dining in Gottingen.

I'm amazed. We went out for dinner with our German business partners and they did chose the Restaurant because of the good reviews and yes, I agree. The Food was so well presented and so delicious. I can really recommend this restaurant. The Service was really good too and I loved the ambient.

This is a very lovely restaurant. It is very classic, high end/upper class styling but still comfortable for us common folk. lol The service is AWESOME. I could not read the menu because they didnt have one in English they found an older one written in English and got a server to help describe the menu items. They are also... More

Some of the food was quite good, but some of the fish was under-cooked on the bottom. The staff were very attentive, but aspects of service like serving the main meat dish in parts are not really of value. Would have preferred to just leave the food but ensure it was all cooked perfectly. So for the high prices, should... More

This restaurant is everything you want if you are looking for a classic restaurant serving classic dishes along with competent service. The interior oozes history and class. The service is your classical French cuisine and competence. Other clients are most age ranges of romancing couples, business trips, groups of friends, a couple of solo diners but seemed to be diners... More

I'm never a great believer in hotel restaurants and usually try to avoid them. Events meant, however, I could only eat here at the hotel at which I was staying. Firstly the restaurant is quite impressive. Heavy furniture and furnishings which leave an impression that this is a serious eatery. I had smoked eel for starters which came with scrambled... More

My parents celebrated their edding in the Gebhards Hotel and since then we go their for every family occasion. The food is typical German and really good. In summer you can breath in some flair of this historic university city on the the terrace which goes out on the historic city walls. Don't miss the Wiener Schnitzel!

This formal and traditional restaurant offers excellent cuisine and service. Expensive, but very good for a special occasion. The dark wood-panelled dining room and adjacent bar, together with the green leather seating, is somewhat reminiscent of a London gentleman's club. This is the restaurant of Gebhards Hotel (also known as the Romantik Hotel Gebhards).
