Enjoying a glass of wine or a dinner at Weinhaus Koegler is a true German experience. Food is great and wine is too!

We had a dinner at Weinhaus Koegler during Wiesbaden wine festival. Great selection of wine, we took recommendation of our waitress and ordered Weisburgunder (Pinot Blank), and it was excellent. Food was OK, not great, service was very good. They have English menu, and there were no communication barrier. I would recommend this place for wine, for food - we... More

I dined outside in the warm July weather. I had delicious Blutwurst (black pudding, but different from the British kind) with Bratkartoffeln, followed by Apfelstrudel. Service was good and it wasn't expensive.

Wonderful wine and friendly service. Beautiful fragrant wine washed down a very interesting blood sausage with potatoes and apple sauce... A bit beauty and the beast but a great combination and terrific value.

First, it's on the walk-platz, near the Landestag. Cobble-stone street. Food selections are numerous, and vary. Excellent outdoor seating area, if it's warm. With weather, I'd think on this pick before going. Food is all traditional German and you can't go wrong with anything they serve. Fresh ingredients. Pricing is reasonable. If you were looking for a high-style gourmet German... More

The evening started off wonderfully with a special Riesling and the pfifferlingen mit semelknodel (in a Riesling sauce); the waiter was wonderfully understanding of my very poor German. My colleague had the spiessbraten, which was also wonderful. I then had a glass of Riesling rose (dry/trocken), which I loved, although I noticed that a German woman at another table didn't... More

This place has a nice outside area to people watch but especially slow service and mediocre food and limited menu. This was one of my few chances to get a traditional German meal and I was disappointed. I ordered the Pepper schnitzel which had curry in it for some reason and my girlfriend got the paprika schnitzel which was quite... More

Weinhaus Kogler Wiesbaden 125 Jahre est 1888 Along the pedestrian shopping district are many small wine bars and restaurants. Most have tables outside. On nice days, practically nobody is inside because everybody wants to enjoy the precious weather. One of the drawbacks of the outside, however, is that seated outside you are most likely to find yourself on the receiving... More

Good basic German dishes for a correct price. We eat Asparagus with small schnitzel, sauce hollandaise and baked potato. Good portion of big fresh asparagus, tender fresh schnitzel. A pitty that the sauce hollandaise was based on instant powder.

Walking into this little place is like being in a time warp. With the decor, it was kind of like walking into my German grandmother's living room. And, actually, most of the clientele probably could have been my grandmother's contemporaries because I didn't seen any one in there under 70. But the wine and the hearty German fare was good....
