Only had blackforest cake & latte as I was told the lunch menu were mostly out of stock at abt 1.20pm on a Friday afternoon. I saw abt 4 tables occupied in the indoor seating. Server unable to speak English...so unable to translate the menu. Asked for salmon or tomato soup, not available. Service was slow, I have no idea... More

You haven't been to Marburg if you haven't been to the castle in town and Cafe Vetter. It is a Marburg institution, making and serving delectable cakes and coffee for about one hundred years. There is plenty of seating but if you are set on a window seat with its incredible view of the town, you may have to wait... More

We had gelato, coffee and a nice sunbath on the terrace of this really old cafe. The kids just loved it as there were so many colourful sweets to explore. The terrace is beautiful, full of sun, just under the cathedral, so you can enjoy the surroundings and the old city.

I always go there when I want to have a nice tea&coffee moment. It has fantastic views and the sweets are gorgeous.

The place to be after a party night to get some flair back into your life. The traditional cafe is located at the foot of the marburg castle, with a wonderfull view over the city. The interior reminds one of the late 19th century, but don't worry... The staff is used to hung-over students and politely serves student breakfasts to... More

Visited this restaurant on a Xmas market cruise. It was a set menu for us but very typical of the area. Food was fab. Would go again.

The cakes were amazing and the view looks over the city of marburg. The worst part of the place was the seating which was really cramped with a lot of furniture and decor in the way. Otherwise was quite a good place. Service was great as well and I would recommend this place.

I visited this well-known café with a group of friends on a Saturday morning. We sat down at 12:05 and our food was served at 13:15! We were totally ignored for at least 30 minutes after ordering and then when we asked about our order we were informed that it had been forgotten and would take ten minutes to be... More
