Great authentic german food experience! Must do in Frankfurt. The sausage with fried potatoes was delicious! All of my friends loved the experience. Good Frankfurt Wine as well.

We had an incredible time for dinner. Delicious food, reasonably priced wine and amazing service. Highly recommended!
This is for sure one one the best place in the town. Very friendly people, very good food and cool experience. I suggest to all who want to try topical food
The reservation via email was smooth, the place was nice with air-con (it was a hot day!), the food was not bad at all, but it was noisy and the initial seating offered was not ideal, squeezed between two groups (which we asked to change...and they agreed). There was a big group behind us making lots of noise and we had to shout at each other to hear each other. It was too bad but there is no outside seating and we had to stay inside with all the bad echoes. So if you have sensitive ears or if it is for business dinner, I don't recommend this place. You also need to keep in mind that the payment is cash only - which is quite painful if you are with a big group - and also they were explicit in telling me 'tip not included' which I found not too pleasant.More
We had dinner here on our first night in Frankfurt, and we were very excited after reviewing the menu and previous reviews. We didn't make an appointment and walked in at 5.10pm. We politely asked if they had room, and the attendant had a bit...of a laugh and said sure if you can find a table (the place was empty 😂). We sat down, ordered a round of drinks and perused the menu. Apfelwein obviously, as it's the speciality here. We ordered the schnitzel, the German tasting platter and sausages and mash for our youngest. Can I just say, the vibe of the place even when empty was so hospitable, that we felt immediately at home there. The food was AMAZING. The Green sauce, oh yeah give me 8 of them, please! Schnitzel cooked to perfection, and the sausages, again absolutely delicious. Overall our dinner came to 50 Euro or so. We were advised that it was cash earlier on, so that wasn't an issue either. But by 6pm when we left, it was quickly filling up. This is one place I would happily hunt down again whenever I visit Frankfurt in the future.More
Awful! Cannot understand how this place got such high reviews. Food was bland and tasteless. Got the beef - was like eating tough, old leather. Apple rings were bordering on burnt. Service slow. Then at the end told us they don't take card - only...cash. Husband had to go searching for a cash machine. Must be better places than this to eat in Frankfurt!More
This restaurant is on the south side of the river but don't let that dissuade you. It's highly ranked for a reason. We ordered some local cider, which was great. The traditional German sampler for an appetizer was ......interesting and made us wonder if we...had made the right choice. However, the main course and dessert was phenomenal. We had the schnitzel, which was enormous, and a juicy pork chop. The topper was the dessert that was one of the best desserts we have ever had. It was a apple pie inspired dessert with ice cream. Absolutely amazing.More
Excellent food excellent drinks excellent deserts excellent service. Can’t fault one thing. If you want to taste authentic German food go there
Went on a Friday night and it was packed. The host managed to find us a table despite having turned up about an hour after our reservation time - thank you very much for accommodating us. The food was solid, good local fare, my first...Ebbelwoi (is cider the correct translation?) experience was pleasant. The host gave a little cabaret like rendition every half hour or so. From what I was able to understand he was delightfully inappropriate, witty and pleasantly did not single anyone or anything out (apart from an obvious gripe with Offenbach). Will return for more when in Frankfurt again.More
Really loved the food . It was so delicious and yumm. The staffs was also quite friendly and served on time.
The title sums it pretty well, but to add a bit more, I have had a habit of enjoying handkäse for the starter, Frankfurter schnitzel for the main course, and a mispelchen for the dessert, and I have enjoyed the most having this combo in...Ebbelwoi Unser. The Frankfurter schnitzel is huge (be prepared), tastes great and comes with two sauces (white and green). I wash the food down with either beer or (a bembel of) apfelwein and sparkling water.More
I travelled here on business and we were looking for some authentic German food. We chose based on TripAdvisor ratings and were disappointed. We got there at opening on a week night. There were exactly two people in the whole place, but we were told...there were reservations and it would be an hour. We weren’t going to wait and the owner then said that he could somehow squeeze us into his empty restaurant. We ate our entire meal and no one else came in. Weird. The food was ok. We all had schnitzel but were kind of wanting brats. It’s cash only. For a 70 something euro meal I gave him 100 and he asked if he should keep it for tip. I said no.More
So first for clarification. We were fully booked that night from 7 p.m. You came at 5 p.m. and we offered you a table for two hours and not just for one hour as you wrote it. Our restaurant was after 7 p.m., but you...More
We had made a reservation, but when we arrived, the manager told us we had to wait. We told them that if they didnt had an available table they should have told us so that we could made a reservation somewhere else. He waa very...rude and told us that if we dont like it we can leave. I don't recommend it.More
Very busy, very friendly and engaging staff and clientele. German people all around us were very warm, fun, helpful. There was a staff member who entertained us with a few comical songs that had the crowd alive and participating. The portions are huge. The apple...dessert was our favorite. Schnitzel and meatball were both very eye pleasing but lacked flavor and seasoning.More
.....went as guests of our German company to this atmospheric restaurant. The ambiance, staff (especially the MoC), and food was superb - it was the Christmas goose dinner - with plenty of Ebbelwoi and other drinks!! All the visitors from the UK had a great...time, as did our German hosts and enjoyed the local food and alcohol!! A Christmas dinner to remember for sure!More
