The food is absolutely amazing. Loved it and cannot wait to go back 😋😋😋 It is a small place so make sure you either have a reservation or just be there when it opens! Trust me, it is completely worth it. Price wise is it ok and the quality is fantastic. A must taste in frankfurt 😋😋😋

Entering Iwase I've been a bit surprised, since after reserving a table at the best Japanese restaurant in Frankfurt modest ambience of Iwase is a bit of a understatement. But it lasted only until the food came at the table. What a glorious meal! I had a dinner with a brother of mine who spent some time at Far East... More

I was greedy as had been missing Asian cuisine having traveled for one month from Russia to the Baltic States, Poland and Berlin before visiting Frankfurt. Hence, I ordered both Sashimi Bento and Soba Soup at the same time for lunch for only myself. However, the order taker was quick to suggest I might like to have the Soba Soup... More

Iwase is a very little restaurant. It's needed to book for several days before going, because fish quality is very high and they don't have room for so many people. I would say less than 15, so, even if you go only with your partner, actually you'll sit in a 4 or 6-places table. It doesn't look like an expensive... More

We visited Iwase a couple of days ago . I must say it is very small and can be easily missed but so glad we didn't miss it . Very tasty and fresh fish . The staff is very friendly and helpful . We came in very late but they still accommodated us although the kitchen was about to close... More

It is very cosy and a tiny restaurant - reservation is a must. The food is truly Japanese and tastes delicious. Thanks to this little restaurant you can experience that Japanese food is not only about sushi and offers diversity.

Taken to Iwase for a business dinner and found it to be very good. This is the closest to an authentic Japanese family run restaurant you can find outside Japan itself . Food is well prepared and tasty. The Sushi is definitely recommended. The restaurant is small and it is advisable to make a reservation to avoid disappointment. It is... More

This is very simple and authentic Japanese restaurant - very small, without any design inside and outside, but with high quality products like fish and rice and friendly staff. 4 stars because there is no pleasure to stay there right after you make the last piece of food. Just eat-and-go, anyway food is good.

You really have to reserve this place since it is very small and demand is high. I should say probably one of the tastiest Japanese food and sushi I ate in Germany. If you like Japanese food and in Frankfurt I would suggest you to go there. The only thing that they should improve is their menu, its hard to... More

This is definitely one of the best sushi places in Frankfurt. The fish is very fresh and tasty. The price is quite high if you go there for dinner, but by Frankfurt standards, this pricing is considered normal. Other places that serve sushi that are cheaper do not compare in quality or taste. I tend to only go there for... More
