If your looking for a typical Frankfurt cuisine restaurant/ pub without the tourist and cider bit this is the place. The food is the same quality (and quantity) for decades, not pretentious, down to earth, honest to god Frankfurt or Hesse style food with good selection of beer, local ciders (Apfelwein) or vinos. During the summer the beer garden is... More

Restaurant ideal to enjoy typical German cuisine from Hesse. It has an interesting garden for summer sunny days. Schnitzel Hesse style to try. Besides different types of beers there is an offer of wines.

Mosebach is located in Frankfurt in the area of the zoo. The seating is comprised of unadorned wooden benches, chairs, and tables, yet has a warm, comfortable feeling. The owners seem to enjoy their customers and being part of a community. The bean and mushroom soup was excellent, as were the various dishes. Jagerschnitzel was a big hit, as was... More

This turned out to be one of the most enjoyable dinners of our entire trip. On a packed Saturday night they managed to squeeze us in at a small table that provided a great view of the establishment. Lots of enthusiastic people, many accompanied by well-behaved dogs, enjoying food and beer. I had a chance to try the “green sauce”... More

Lovely local traditional pub with the best Frankfurter Schnitzel. Lovely backyard to sit outside in summer and enjoy an Ebbler

Thoroughly enjoyed a couple of snitzels, one with asparagus hollandaise, and very nice red wine. Cost was about 35 euro including tip and win which we though very reasonable. Traditional pub style atmosphere and very pleasant staff who were happy to help these non-German speakers

Originally we went to a restaurant nearby for a dinner but it was quarter to 11 and they've already closed the kitchen so we were passing by Mosebach checking the working hours when the guy standing outside next to us said go in the kitchen is opened for 10 more minutes...and the same guy served us :). Restaurant was full... More

If you want an authentic German style meal in a non-pretentious setting in Frankfurt, Mosebach is a very good choice. Located on the edge of the inner suburb of Bornheim, very close to the Zoo, it is an authentic Frankfurt "Kneipe" (casual watering-hole), serving the traditional "Ebbelwoi "(sour cider, a local speciality) in the equally traditional stoneware jugs (or "Bembel")....
