Absolutely lovely food! Enjoyed 6 dishes and will definitely be back. Probably one of the best Indian restaurants I have experienced! Excellent service, friendly and efficient. Thank you Jewel of India for a lovely evening!
The food was tasty but not nessessarily the best Indian, but a good place to go to in Frankfurt. The service is friendly
Delicious, genuine and authentic food, GREAT service!!! We have come to Jewel of India every year for 15 years when we are in Frankfurt. It is always a wonderful experience.
I had a lamb Rogan Josh, extra hot. Nothing like I am used to back in the UK. A little too sour and bitter and more basic sauce then titalating and exciting. Garlic Naan was good, sag alloo was very bland, rice was nice. All...that and a beer cost me €41.30 which was €20 too much. Ambience was quiet and pleasant with nice soft music in the background. Waiter was friendly and service and delivery was very good but I will not be rushing back.More
Was looking for Indian restaurant to have lunch. Googled to find this nearby. Reached after 2.30pm, by which it was closing. Went for dinner. That particular day it was crowded. However food was good, service could have been better.
I thought the food was fine but not standout. The poppadoms were like the ones you buy in the supermarket in the UK and not as nice as they ones you get in Indian restaurants at home. But otherwise the dishes (jalfrezi, dahl, spinach paneer)...were tasty enough. The wines are quite pricey and really bumped up the bill making it quite pricey for an ok meal. The service was friendly and efficient.More
The service was a strange mixture of slow and complicated (young servant and totally over engaged (boss??). We´ve been sitting outside on a small terrasse on a nice summer evenning (quiet location) . The food is german-indian standard (tried 3 different dishes but nothing extraordinary....Nan / Butter Nan could not convince in terms of freshness. All together ok Price/Value relation is on the higher end.More
Absolutely fantastic. As good as any Indian food I’ve ever had. Had Veg Biryani, Malai Kofta, Yellow Dal, Veg Kurma n Aloo Gobi. Everything was excellent. Will be back tomorrow
We arrived here by accident and are thrilled we did. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. The mango sauce was one of the best I've had and the lamb was perfect. Warmly recommend!
The food was OK. I had my usual Aloo Gobi and it was passable but far from great. The Nan was good. The food was expensive and the service was horrible. We were about the only people in the restaurant (early for most at 7pm)...and the waiter seems to disappear for long periods of time.More
Nice food and staff. Maybe a bit pricey but pleasant place to be. Veg mixed appetizer had a nice selection and my king prawns were good with a tasty curry sauce. The murgh vindaloo could be hotter.
The restaurant ambience and service is good.but the quality of the food is not good.i ordered butternaan which was not cooked properly.then I ordered 1 roti ,1 butter naan,1seek kebab, and mutton Rogan Josh.we were 3 including my child, the waiter requested as to order one more...bread,then we order one more butter naan.the brought the food without mint chutney as always goes with tandoori items, also they brought rice which comes part of the gravy.i asked the waiter regarding rice he replied he forget, the quantity is very compare to the price.the final shock is I asked the water, they brought bottle water and 750ml of bottle water cost almost 7 euros.which I can't digest.as running a Indian restaurant water has to serve as first.very important there is no bites served in the table.overall it's too expensive and waste experience.i would suggest you can find someother indian restaurants.More
A business visit, with an extremely friendly reception. Decent choice on the card and possibilities proposed for changing or adapting to the customers wishes. The food was good. Overall a nice experience. Excellent English spoken and caring sercive. Would certainly go here again.
Food is good better for the area (see my other two reviews). Service is friendly. place is clean and decor is decent and is spacious. I would have given 5 stars but the person who takes orders will suggest you things and then they are...added to your bill. For example, cut onion's are normally served in all Indian restaurants across the world but these guys will charge you 3 euro's for 4 tiny slices of onions, I did not care to argue as it was too late and its not worth arguing over.More
