Everything was good, the service etc. was good- yet the Handkaas wasn't very good good (it wasn't given enough time), however, the the Schnitzel were VERY good..but the stake really wasn't worth ordering

Tasty sausages & thirst quenching apple wine in a pleasant German hostelry My German isn't great but it didn't deter from our visit, very friendly and welcoming.

Nice green salsa with eggs, apple wine a little too watery but still ok. The restaurant is a little hidden in a small street but still very authentic.

Schnitzel mit Grune sosse with a glass of Apple Wine is just the thing you need to have to complete your Frankfurt visit. The dishes are served fresh and not from can or deep freeze. The service is excellent. And while you wait for your dish to arrive you can look at all the Hangings in the wall. A great... More

Compare to some other "apfelwein" restaurants, this one offers various beers as well. The food is well cooked and delicious (of course, if you like German food). The staff is friendly, speak English. They also have a beer garden, which makes this place even nicer during the summer. I would recommend it.

for a number of years I was there like clockwork every day for lunch, always at the same table (outside in the summer) while I was working as a graphic designer in an advertising agency up the road. Most times I extended my lunch hour because it was so nice that I had to stay another 10 minutes and another....... More

Portions are large. Starters are a bit (too) simple and even tasteless, but main courses are nice and tasty - we had some salads and schnitzels for our group. We also had our first "apfelweins", which were ok. House wine was ok. What was very disappointing was the fact that they did not except any of our (many) credit or... More

I visited here on recommendation of the friends we were staying with in Frankfurt. It was just what I had hoped for, great menu, good drinks selection and a very authentic feel. I had their specialty, Apfelwein, which was very tasty and to eat I had the Corden Bleu Schnitzel. It was a huge piece of meat with a sizable... More
