The location is great with restaurants and bars in the area. We decided on this restaurant as our first meal in Germany to be able to try the cuisine and it did not disappoint. The portions are large and very good. Nice selection of beers and the apple wine as well. The restaurant had many areas of seating so you... More

This is one of several neighbouring restaurants whose outside seating arrangements adjoin without any delineation, so could easy look at the menu for one and end up at another, which I think 2 guys did. I had the meatloaf, with 2 fried eggs, fried potatoes, and a salad, that was large enough to have been a starter in its own... More

This restaurant offers all the charm and ambiance of the apple wine tavern without the rude waiters. Sitting outside, it is one of the nicest places in Frankfurt and it accommodates huge crowds indoors. The food is first rate, served by happy people! If apple wine is not your thing, they also offer wine and beer, unlike many others in... More

We came here for a really late dinner (around 10pm) and absolutely loved the cute little outdoor sitting area in a slightly quieter courtyard (just a few feet away from an alley of bars you can visit afterwards). The beer was cold and the food was delicious, although be warned, the portions are huge — as is common with traditional... More

Having only 2 days in Germany, we were in search for the best hog in town, specifically eisbein! We were disappointed to find out that eisbein is not actually the national dish of Germany, so we thought we'd try the Frankfurt platter for 4 that consisted of a roasted hog, a boiled pork knuckle, some pork ribs and a few... On entering the restaurant I was a bit put off by the interior. But apparently this is typical German pub favorite with locals. With my group we were seated in the small room by the entrance. But finally I was surprised by the food, prompt and heartily service. The first beers landed soon. Also, the meals arrive soon even the... More

Had a nice group dinner here on a weeknight. Recommended by a local for a good selection of local cuisine. Service was a little slow, but perhaps understandable given the size of our group. We had a good taste of apfelwein, appetizers, and meat platter. Everything we had was tasty. Would be a great spot for dinner with a smaller... More
