I had the Frankfurt schnitzel which could have fed two. Apple wine was ok ( I'm more of a beer guy) but from what I was told, apple wine differs from place to place. Lunch specials were 2-3 euro cheaper than main menu and the family style seating was a good kind of different. The two ladies were very kind... More

Cozy local and chaotic environment. There was a mouse running under my table and when finally we got our plate (pork knuckle) after one hour, this was super dry and tasteless.

Food was perfect. Sausages and sauerkraut. Marinated pork shoulder was huge and especially tasty. Long tables. We didn't have reservation and got lucky with last two spaces but right next to the door. Every time someone went in or out we got a cold blast. But apple wine warmed us up. Great service too. Would happily go back

We had just flown back into the Frankfurt airport. And after pulling out of the parking garage, realized that we were both too hungry to make the hour and a half drive back to our house. So of course we checked TA, and found Atschel not too far away. Though it's on a somewhat busy street in Frankfurt, once we... More

One of the many places like it, but not specially good. I don't think it's all that authentic, if it were, I think the food would be better.

Atschel is an Apfelweinlokal in Sachsenhausen with amazing food, nice service and huge portions. A plus point in comparison to the similar restaurants nearby is that they are open in lunchtime.

Off the beaten track, fairly rustic and worth a visit, excellent food and very friendly staff. Pork Knuckle was good and crisp, very good value for a fairly expensive city

The restaurant is very popular, so I can recommend to book a table. The service is very friendly and quick. The food is delicious and big portions. I had the Jägerschnitzel and my partner had the Frankfurter Schnitzel. Both meals were fresh and tasted very good. The restaurant has mostly big long tables so get ready to share the table... More
