Great food, very fresh with nice and "uncommon" sushi variations. Service is very friendly (however tends to get somewhat slow towards the end of one's stay). For the current situation however, the tables stand by far too close. Required distance is impossible to keep up.

Went solo for dinner after a long day - they were booked out and made it work (gave me a table for 30 min which is all I needed). So helpful, great food. Even if it had t worked out, they just really tried which I very much appreciated!

The couple visited us for dinner on Sunday, August 11, 2024. It was my second day in Frankfurt, and on my way back to my hotel, I passed by a beautiful Japanese restaurant full of Germans and made a Reservation for the evening in advance ("Are you Japanese?") I was relieved to hear that.) We revisited at the Reservation time and had beer, red wine, edamame, calamari, eggplant dengaku, shrimp mayolol and sushi. I've experienced eating Japanese food overseas many times, but the quality of the Japanese food at Sakura was very high and delicious. The manager is very friendly and kind (we had a lot to talk about) and it is a wonderful shop. If an acquaintance ever goes to Frankfurt, I definitely recommend it. The sight of Germans eating edamame and drinking beer somehow made me smile. Thank you very much.

This spot is good for a casual dining. A fair price for the food. We ordered a bunch of diffrent types of sushi. They were okay, but it did seem like they were not freshly prepered. The staff was nice. The place had great tables and you could sit outside aswell. All in all probably would return, but it would not be my first choice in Frankfurt.

Found the place by chance and I am happy I did ! Great experience. Small place, gets busy quickly , food is fantastic! Enjoyed each dish, fresh, nicely served, real great experience. Friendly staff, smiling and polite. Overall: highly recommended.

Dinner on a weeknight with no reservation—we almost didn’t get in, but persistence paid. We had fabulous sushi and sashimi, and the service was incredible. If you have the chance for a meal here, take it!

How wonderful to have happy, smiling friendly staff! The food was really delicious and so fresh tasting. How hard is it to operate a restaurant on this basis? Very hard for most! Even the chefs behind the counter had a pleasant greeting for every new customer as they enetered the restaurant...even while they were busy and working. We left feeling full of good food and good cheer. Thank you!

We went here sponatously for lunch. Very nice, cosy atmosphere. Friendly service. And most importantly: the food is delicious. Whether you take the sushi or the other Asian dishes. Everything is outstanding in taste and quality. A real secret tip in Frankfurt.
