This is a good choice in Hamburg. You will get traditional french food and there is more than enough if you stick to the the three course menu. It is good value. The atmosphere is cosy and the service attentive. The food itself is good and well prepared. Only the creme brûlé need a little bit more thick caramel on... More

Ate lunch here recently with my wife based on recommendations, especially in the Michelin guide. I had an unexciting fish soup followed by a really stringy and unpleasant rabbit leg in mustard sauce. Not close to the quality you expect from a good bistro.

One would not normally walk by this nice restaurant, since it is a little bit off the beaten track. But certainly worthwhile to try it out. Food is very good, prices are reasonable considering the quality, and service is friendly.

The food is original French food, and was quite nice. The price was fair, the service was okay. I had expected more from reading here, and was a bit dissapointed. It wasn't bad at all, I have just tried better at the same price. But worth a visit :-)

If you are looking to have proper french food then this is definitely the place to go to, it is a little expensive but completely worth it (honest price!). Staff is professional and attentive.

On warm days they have outside seating. We had a nice although somewhat expensive lunch. I had a calf liver salade which was really nice. The service is friendly and attentive, and from some of the the tables you can see the hustle and bustle of the kitchen and the waiters picking up the food, which is classic bistro style... More

A small and very special restaurant right in the city centre. Awesome food, very good wines, perfect service. A bit loud cause of many tables but the atmosphere is great anyway.Reservation needed. Meat, fish, salads, you get everything there. You will pay for the quality, but it is worth it .

Hamburg has not very many French restaurants but this one, owned by venerable Mr. Jacques Lemercier, is an institution. I have been their customer for many, many years even before the restaurant moved down town. It is not the place of high French sophistication but you get well prepared solid French plates at reasonable prices. And it tastes French and... More
