I was here with my son and his girl friend, who live in Hamburg. They said the only way to get a table was to arrive early, so we came an hour early and sat sipping wine. Our wait was worth every minute. The food and service was superb. We shared a table with another couple, who were delightful. We... More

Hard to find if you are not a local. But we can highly recommend it, it is very cosy, great food and friendly service! (Ps If you arrive late, you might not get your favorite dish from the menu, becaurse it is sold out... )

Operating on a first-come-first-serve basis, the restaurant defies all gastronomical conventions by not taking reservations (“we are too small for that”), not limiting a seating to a time slot, and allowing single customers to block whole tables without the dining party being complete and present. Once the doors open, one might think of the clichéd urge of resort tourists to... More

Great food in neighbourhood-style resturant. No pre-booking of tables so come early to secure a spot. Had the chefs menu. The dessert was a let down - but the rest of the meal was excellent!

Definitely NOT on the tourist map and a favorite with locals the see rover is excellent the food was delicious and interesting, and it's reasonsable. You'd walk by it and wouldn't think anything on a Quiet side street with no name visible. No reservations do get there at 6 when they open. Small outdoor patio area is nice. The menu... More

I'm in line with most of the reviews here: the food is good but not worth waiting, especially considering the crammed space in the entrance. Knowing we couldn't reserve, we (party of 2) got there at 9.30 on a Friday night. The waiter told us (in a rather rude way) he didn't know how long the wait would be. We... More

Great atmosphere in suburban location. Reservations are not possible, but we got in without queuing. Food was mainly very good. The menu was in German only, but the personnel helped with traslation. Lamb was especially good. Worth of trying!

It's a bliss to find a place in Hamburg were you don't need to make a reservation at least a week before, because they don't accept reservations. The downside is that you have to wait quit a while before you get a table. We were told that it would take 1-2hours it took an hours but it was fine hanging... More

Came here on the last night of our trip to Hamburg on the recommendation of a friend. In the dark, was a bit difficult to determine which direction to head in after exiting the nearest metro station but we got there bang on 7pm hoping to get a table as we knew you couldn't book in advance. Fortunately for us,... More
