Low quality and high price. We ordered a bacahau bras and it was a scrambled egg like stockfish and a pulpo which was tasting nothing. High priced. Never ever

The food was really bad and boring. The gambas and Durado (fish) was really dry and without taste. My boyfriend got tapas and it looked like it had been served before. The next day he was very sick after eating the tapas, properly the shrimps...or the cheese. So he spent our last day in Hamburg in bed at the hotel with diarrhoea and throwing up.More

The main course portions are big so going there be hungry. The quality and taste is good. Unfortunately the steak came slightly charred but the meat quality was good. The waiters are friendly and competent.

We very much enjoyed our meal here. Nice atmosphere and great food! We highly recommend this place. We have tried many restaurants in Hamburg but this one stands out.

The have an array of fish- and other types of portuguese foods of reasonable quality. I had their rabbit dish which was a bit dry and the fish soup which was ok. The waiter was friendly and food came relatively fast seeing that the restaurant...was jam-packed. A few slices of bread came standard, which was great. The bill arrived after a long time, but seeing that we were not in a hurry this was also acceptable.More

The place is very busy, they have an extensive menu. The wine and food were good. Only down point was that they forgot my food so my colleagues were done by the time my food arrived. They tried to make it up to me with...offering me a dessert but by that time I was already done.More

Average food. The various fish dishes average. The fish itself was a bit over-cooked or perhaps it wasn’t fresh that day but a bit too firm. Menu offers a range of dishes. Perhaps some of them better than others. They offer ‘green wine’ which basically...is a white and reasonable. The port which is offered with dessert is not good - a rough quality. Dessert fine. I had a hot creme brûlée type dessert. Service slow but friendly. Restaurant seemed clean. Taxi service to that area round about 11pm onwards - very poor and restaurant staff not particularly helpful unlike what I saw in the restaurant opposite.More

In the corner humble Portuguese Fish Restaurant Porto was a local friends advise.. A fish soup (have to order lemon additional) white cold wine and a sword fish dish can make your day... Friday noon lunch time all the tables were reserved and than full...with local Germans and 2-3 Portuguese tables were waiters spoke native language..More

We had a table of 7 on Monday night. The aioli looked like it had been sitting on the side all night, it had a skin. The food (besides the starters) took a very long time to arrive and when it did it was cold...and bland with vegetables suited to a person with no teeth. The drink service was swift but there was one member of staff there who was drinking at the bar in-between serving people, when one of our party asked him (quite impatiently, I apologize) where the food was he spoke to us in a very rude way like we had personally offended him and walked away muttering under his breath. The service alone from that one member of staff is enough reason for us not to return but the food was the icing on the cake.More

We were hungry and tired and by coincidence we found this restaurant. Place is good, but the service was very slow. They might improve their service. Food was good, a little bit expensive.

We booked into this restaurant for our last night in Hamburg. When we got there they had given our table away to someone else saying that we booked into the cafe type establishment they own night door. I double checked the telephone number we rang...and it was for the Porto. we wanted a romantic meal not a cafe experience. not impressed!!!!More

This area was recommended to us for good sea food. Nice, relaxed, friendly place and clearly popular. I had the tuna with green pepper sauce - which was probably not the best choice (sauce a bit rich for tuna). But my husband had the same...sauce on some pork - which was delicious. Very enjoyable.More

We went to Restaurant Porto for dinner. Food was ok, but nothing extraordinary. Service was very chaotic and slow. For ex, they served our food but did not provide cutlery, and when I asked for a cutlery to a waiter, he was annoyed by my...request. There was no thanks/good evening after paying the bill either. In the end, I found the restaurant very expensive considering the quality-price ratio and I would not recommend to a friend.More

We have memories of tapas restaurants in Spain. This didn't live up to our memories. We had a very ordinary dinner. Dishes were over-sauced with the same generic sauce on several dishes. Disappointing.
