Decided to try this restaurant on the strength of other reviews and they were totally right - this was a lovely restaurant with happy friendly staff and delicious food. There is no English menu but our waiter was happy to assist us, and I chose a pork and mushroom Auflauf with rice and it was absolutely delicious. I'm glad I... More

Staying in IBIS City - so this was in fairly close proximity and a wonderful find if you are looking for outstanding German local food in traditional surroundings with very friendly helpful and attentive staff. The menu has an extensive range of local dishes that offer range quality and quantity. Something for everyone. It's off the beaten tourist track so... More

This little restaurant is slightly off the beaten track with the result you have probably a good chance of getting a table. There is no English menu but the waitress/manageress was very helpful in describing what was available. Food is typically German and plentiful. It is a quiet restaurant with no music, but the sound of groups of diners having... More

You can choose from 4 different baked potatoes or create your own and trust me this isn't your on the side baked potato this is a whole meal with a delicious salat to start. Mine had turkey strips and sour cream... More

We came across this place whilst exploring the old town and decided to come back for dinner. 8PM on a Staurday night and it was surprisingly quiet. As has been mentioned the menu is in German but Google Translate worked very well on the online menu. Very friendly guy running the bar and looking after the diners. Huge selection of... More

As the other reviews said, this place has classic German food and is a little tucked away, not at all a touristy place. The auflauf is the classic dish; you can get it with vegetables, beef, fish, chicken, etc. and all are delicious. The menu is only in German though, so if you don't know much German, it can be... This is a traditional german restaurant. It's not tourist oriented, so you can have a nice truly german experience. The food and service was very nice. Like I read in other review: "Something very different, very cosy and very basic"
