Labskaus, North Sea crabs & panfish

Fair price, great regional dishes - atmosphere is a little cold, but great view to passing ships, if you have a table at the glass front, been there several times - quality remains high, 48€ 4 drinks, 2 starters & 2 main courses...

My husband and I went to this restaurant during a trip to Hamburg harbour. We asked the waiter for recommendations. he recommended a platter to us. I mentioned that I would rather have salmon and asked him if this is a good choice, he frowned and said "not bad" and insisted we have the platter instead. Both of us ordered... More

Decently prepared but not really fresh fish, served by single rather grumpy owner (?) -waiter, who took his time, despite having only two other tables to deal with for lunch. Great view of the harbour. Perhaps evenings are better value.

Not so expensive, the portions were quite big. Good service, nice beer. Roasted Scholle was very nice, as well as Kartoffelsalat.

A real old school establishment with white linen on the tables and bow-tied waiters. The seafood was excellent, beautifully present and reasonably priced.

The fish was good, local & fresh. Very simple. The service was good despite the fact the 2 servers who were waiting on the entire restaurant upstairs were doing everything from busing tables to bartending. Hard working waitstaff! It was an easy restaurant for us with our infant.

While we were walking in the St. Pauli neighbourhood, we wanted to taste some real fish... and what better place than a restaurant with 'fish' in its name? Yes, the menu had enough fish choice and yes, the fish was good but the side dishes were a bit simple. The vegtables consisted of two small pieces of carrot and the... More

Very good meal for the group. I am not a big fish eater but the rest of the group enjoyed theirs and my meal was good. Good food, good service, professional staff - well worth the money.

The food is average and the prices seem reasonable. I ordered the steamed fish and it was ok. The baked potatoes were tasty. The assorted Hamburger fish platter offered more flavor and a better value. The place seemed nice and quiet, and the waiter was really nice and helpful. It is an average restaurant which offers good seafood for a... More

Whilst visiting Hamburg went with friends for a meal. The fish was perfect and the service attentive. Location is easily accessible and a reasonable view of the harbour activities from the upper restaurant. Can recommend for families and couples alike.
