We ate here while on a city break. Great nautical decor and delicious German food, the waiter was friendly and helpful too. We all had different main courses and all were delicious washed down with a good selection of German beer.

First time hete, really enjoyed the food. Excellent shrimp soup as starter, then the new herring, delicious with green beans, potatoes and bacon. Recommended.

This is right next to our hotel and it got good TA reviews. We had dinner there around 6:30, nice outside table. The server was friendly. I was sure to go in and look at the nautical decor...interesting but dark overall. Hubby had fish and fries. I had roast pork with red cabbage and boiled potatoes. His fish/fries were good.... More

As my hotel next door had no restaurant service for some days used this restaurant and food was good and service here is excellent. Decemt prices and good portions. Also restaurant itself is nice and radiates some of the luxury of Hamburg

Conveniently located across from the main train station. I ordered Labskaus which I was told was a traditional Northern German dish. I liked it, but I am sure it is not for everyone. Good enough service and food.

My colleagues and I (four in total) when here for an early evening meal (around 6.30) and had a very good meal. All the main courses and starts were first rate and the beer was tasty. The service was good but not rushed as in some places where they want you out ASAP. So all in all, everything you need... More

Good German food and a wide selection of German beers and other drinks directly across from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, the main train station.

I chose this restaurant for a lunch with a good friend who didn't want to venture far from the Hauptbahnhof with her two year old without a stroller. I saw the decent reviews on tripadvisor and thought it would work. I ordered the Martjesfilet (which I have had elsewhere and enjoyed) and was served rubbery and off-tasting herring bathed, BATHED... I was recommended this restaurant by my hotel. Its a large and busy place, but do have a good atmosphere and large menu. To my pleasure they have a good offer for seafood and fish, this can be a lack in many Germany restaurants. The service was a bit understaffed, but friendly and quick enough.Very good food!
