We had a nice meal here. Waitress could have been a bit nicer (don't think she really wanted to be here) it was lovely to see so many locals out and about in a pub on a mission day night. We where lucky to get a table. Food is reasonable priced and the Apple strudel is very nice (even though... More

I'd been here last year with a friend and couldn't wait to eat here with my husband. The atmosphere is great, it gets quite crowded with what seems a mix of locals & tourists. We came here both nights we were in Hamburg, it was so good we figured why look anywhere else? Service quick & friendly, food delicious, hot... More

After eating at Frau Moller the night before, this pub had a lot to live up to and it succeeded! It was quieter and maybe didn't quite have the same atmosphere (it was a Sunday night though) but is a great place to sample some proper German food and beer. Very reasonably priced and the service was great. Would love... More

We spent three nights in Hamburg and ate all of our dinners here. We were staying near the main train station south and this was an easy walk. We were mostly exhausted after our day and had a good experience on night 1 and just kept coming back. There are few tourists that eat here, but the servers could speak... More

My wife and I stumbled upon this gem of a bar on our first night in Hamburg. Cold beer and casual German food, what could be better. They were very busy but we were never without a beer. best seats are at the bar for dinner.

Always stop here for a couple of beers when I visit Hamburg. Just a short walk from Hauptbahnhof and jungfernstieg, right below the church of St Georg, the staff are always friendly. Do really good German food, my favourites include Bauernfrühstuck and Currywurst although on my most recent visit I just wanted something lighter and had a great Tomato and... More

It literally took us a lifetime to finally get our dinner served. And yes I'm being literally literal because we still haven't had the dinner up until the moment I'm writing this review, which is like 24 hours later. Basically the restaurant was understaffed. There were only 2 waitresses serving. The slightly more mature waitress looked competent enough, especially when... More

We went here yesterday with our eight year old son and they were welcoming. It was busy and on a Thursday tables cannot be reserved after 6pm so it's a wait and see situation, which we did and got a table in 10 minutes. The food was fabulous. I had croque with haloumi and it was divine. Kept half a... More

We couldn't get in the first night was chock a block full. Mental note try again next night. Great little local stube. Local menu, reasonably priced, with amongst others Guiness! Warm atmosphere and great service from the waitress. Even the black Labrador was happy. Traditional German food. Mine was a bit salty unfortunately. Would come again and explore the menu... More
