Good delivery of Indian vegetarian fare. Restaurant was full when we arrived, but they managed to find a place for us. Service was a bit on the slow side, but the food was well cooked and delicious.

I came to this restaurant because I went to another restaurant of the owner called Ajantha, after I heard satyam USA purely vegetarian restaurant. Anyone interested in purely vegetarian Indian delicacies i recommend this as they have also set the menu on Ayurvedic medicinal point of view. The service is prompt and decent pricing for a city like Berlin. The... More

Satyam is a pretty good vegetarian Indian restaurant that can make a lot of their dishes vegan as well. The food isn't out of this world, but totally respectable. While the dosa was a little thick and fluffy (rather than paper thin) the inside masala was well seasoned and tasted good. We also ordered one of the thalis and it... More

I think I've been to Satyam three times now, on three separate trips to Berlin. It's become a favourite. It's not posh and it's not trying to be. It serves decent curry and beer (though the former could do with more spices; we're not all as tender of palate as they seem to expect). I've had better of both, but... More

The food at this place was alright, compared to most Indian restaurants in Berlin (which everyone knows are generally pretty subpar in the flavor department) it was fairly average, maybe slightly more flavorful and with a few extra things on the menu you might not see everywhere else, but nothing special. It also took a really long time for our... More

We visited there for our new year eve dinner with lot of expectations to Enjoy delicious Indian food. Unfortunately experience was not so great. Waiters were busy and rude. They made us feel not welcomed. We are born Indian and know the taste of Indian food. Taste of food/Spices was a bit wired and we did not enjoy it at... More

Lunch is busy - one waiter - most people have the express lunch - which is probably what one should do. I expect dinner is more relaxed but I havent been. For the money - great food. slow but friendly service. I didnt check cleanliness but from reading some of the reviews - maybe that's worth checking out

Because we wanted to try a good vegetarian restaurant, we found Satyam on Happy Cow and again on Tripadvisor. Sounded great, so we wrote for reservations before our trip. Nice website, but no one answered our request. We decided we'd just show up for lunchtime on a weekday during our visit to Berlin... Our first mistake was not to order... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
