We really enjoyed our visit here. As it is in a busy tourist area we had been a little nervous that the food wouldn't be very good but we were hungry, hot and didn't want to walk very far! The staff were professional and courteous and the food was good! The restaurant is very pleasant inside and the menu had... More

We went two days in a row for the great breakfast and cappuccinos. Great food and great location - recommended!

Respectful and friendly service. We weren't rushed, but could savour the meal and ambiance. Food was expensive, but merited the price. It was delicious and plentiful.

On a short trip to berlin we stopped here to eat after visiting the Brandenburg Gate. My boyfriend ordered the linguini with king prawns and I ordered the duck, which were both delicious. Service was quick and our waitress was extremely friendly (adviced a neighbourhood nearby suited for us). Its a bit expensive for the average tourist (espcially students like... More

The service was great, the food to die for and the wine was good as well. Interesting and comfortable decor. We really enjoyed both of our visits there.

If you are walking Under den Linden you have to make beer/coffee stops, and this is a great choice. Quick service and friendly people. Not to mention this is a perfect place to sit and watch people.

Having eaten at this restaurant a number of years ago on my last visit to Berlin it was a great piece of luck that I found my way here again on this trip. From the food to the service this restaurant provided a top notch eating experience for both myself and my friends. I would highly recommend this restaurant to... More

I’d reserved a table at Dressler for lunch as it came highly recommended – having eaten there I just don’t know why it was recommended, it was adequate but nothing more than a café bar with average food, the location is good if you are visiting the Brandenburg gate but there would be no reason to make a specific detour... Brekky should be easy, and so it was. White tablecloths, good ambiance, and efficient German service albeit in a French restaurant. Coffee was served with 3 minutes of ordering it. Tick. A full cooked brekky was served within 10 minutes. And it was really quite good. Substantial and well priced. Family of four feed for less than 50 euros. We... More

My train home wasn't until 1300, after a run in the morning sun I headed for a breakfast to see me through to late afternoon. I was not disappointed. The 'Berlin petit déjeuner' and a coffee was 12 euros. Cold meats, cheeses, Hama, eggs (how you like them), rolls and preserves, what isn't to love. High recommend

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
