Definitely the best burgers I've had! I had the meister burger and shared chilli cheese fries- yum! Cool, small place located in East Berlin under the train line. Only downside is that there's only a small enclosed area which is packed full of people shoulder to shoulder eating burgers. There are a few tables outside to stand/sit around but we... More

Only about a 10 minute wait for us! Delicious burger and fries - we took the meister burger with the Chili cheese fries!

After queuing up for 25 minutes, the burger was good, but absolutely nothing special. It was quite fatty, and the BBQ sauce was hard to find in the burger. Still a decent burger, and fairly affordable. Perhaps it's reputation set my expectations too high.

Most vouch for it as the "best burger in town". It mostly lives up to that! The more intriguing part is the set up and location. An old public toilet under the metro line been converted in to an eatery. It is a very small place with long queues generally. The burgers are really good. With the buns roasted in... More

When we checked into our hotel the Irish concierge said that these were the best burgers he'd ever had and we should go. It's a bold claim but I can't say he is wrong. For just €15 we had 2 cheeseburgers, shared some cheese fries and a couple of cokes and they were amazing! We tried to find a way... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
