We walked here from our hotel in Charlottenburg which was about 2 hours just to eat here and it was worth it. A bit of a queue and you have to wait for someone to leave to get a little table but loved it! Loved the whole vibe of the place. Beats mcdonalds anyday.

So many people told us to go here before arriving in Berlin and I brushed them off. Hey, it's a burger. I've had a lot of burgers. Do yourself a BIG favor and don't brush off this recommendation: go here! It's cheap and absolutely delicious. There may be a line but it's worth it. Plus there's a little park right... More

Staying nearby and hungry, this place was well rated so had to come and give it a try as I love a good burger! Friday evening and the queue was big, decided to wait and it was definitely worth it! Burger was lovely, the fries were good but maybe a little too salty and cheap bottles of beer too. Not... More

When you can have the best burger on the street, on the fly what else can you ask for? Even better than specialized burger restaurants... Graet burger, thanx

Went here on a Monday lunch time and there was a fairly long queue - always a good sign! Burgers were really good and fries nice enough too! Also really good value, came to under €13 for 2 burgers and a portion of chilli cheese fries. Would recommend.

This place is a must once in Berlin. The queue can be very long but it is worth the wait! Urban street food at its best <3

Decent inexpensive burgers and fries Really enjoyed the Chilli cheese fries! Located in quirky location under railway bridge with limited seating. Place your order. Take a number and wait for your food. We didn't have a long wait but a queue did firm quickly. All in all quirky enjoyable food and experience!!

Visiting Burgermeister was probably the one thing I most looked forward to for our second trip to Berlin! We visited on the day of their National Workers Party so the area got quite busy - although it was still lots of fun. It is literally right outside the exit of the subway station so very easy to find. They offer... More

We enjoyed our burgers but they didn't live up to the hype that was described on here. The food is fast and it's better quality than your usual fast-food places but if we returned, our reasons would be based on the food being value for money and being based in an unusual setting (under a bridge on an island in... Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
