Went after the ice hockey last night. €19 for chilli cheese fries, cheese and bacon fries, 2 burgers. Great value for money, and incredible taste!! A real little diamond in the rough, and gives you a nice wee feel of the city out with the tourist side. Staff were nice, and really efficient for It being so busy. Had to... More

It was one of the best burger I have ever eaten!! The staff is great, price is awesome. It is really close to East Side Gallery, so it is a good idea to eat there before or after your visit.

Delicious burgers, we thought it was more like a restaurant, but there are no seats available (in Winter). Fries were too salty, thank God they sell beer as well!

We came around 7pm and didn’t have to wait long for a burger. Loved the chilli cheese fries! It tasted like melted McDonalds cheese on fries yum! We got a meisterburger (€3.90) and a meister aller klassen burger (€5.90). They were decent, but don’t expect a gourmet burger, it tastes more like street food. There are a few tables outside... The only reason this place get's rated higher than average, must be due to it's convenient location and the fact that it seems to be listed in some guide book. It's definately not due to their burgers - they are just boring and far below average in Berlin. Tasteless and unimaginative, all wedged in a stale bread roll, garnished with... More

I didn't know this place until some friend brought me here by chance. It has a really good decision indeed. The burgers and the fries are awesome. The only negative point is that it is outside and you cannot sit. The district as well is not one of the safest in Berlin but I would it recommend it anyway. By... More

It was 15 euros for two burgers, chips and two beers - an absolute bargain when you consider the beer was delicious and the burgers were outstanding. It is easy to get to being right next to a underground station. And it is open till 4am some evenings which makes it the perfect place to grab post night out food.... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
