This place is very improbable. You are under the rail of the metro line, between two roads, in the middle of the traffic, BUT you will get one of the best burgers of your life. The prices are reqsonable (+/-10€ p.pers)

This is a great little place serving awesome burgers outside the U bahn station a quick walk from the East Side Gallery. We got 2 cheeseburgers and fries and they were excellent and relatively inexpensive. Overall, very nice place serving great burgers and good value for money.

Possibly the best burger and fries I have ever had anywhere in the world! I definitely recommend getting the chilli cheese fries. Really good value for money and location is close to the popular East side gallery.

Located just outside the U bahn station and the food is tasty here. Good juicy burgers for €4/5. You will get a queue here but they have an efficient ticket system for getting those orders out as quick as they can. I feel a little bit like the burgers are overhyped and doesn't deserve the queue it gets, but still... More

The quality of this burger is evident by the long line it has all day. It's cheap- 4€ and yummy. Not huge in size but exactly what you need after a day of touring Berlin. Have it with fries and of course some Berlin beer!

Have visited here 2 times. Both times food was delicious and service was friendly. This place is totally worth visiting when you're in Berlin. If there's a queue, it goes quickly because service is fast.

Burgermeister is a true standout amongst the many random, hipster bars and street food places that I came across in Berlin. A group of us ate their twice, as everyone was in agreement that it was the best burger we had ever eaten. Yes, it's busy all the time, and you probably won't get a seat, but that is half... More

This burger stand is by far the best in Berlin!! There is always a line but it moves quickly, burgers are the star of the stand, but don't pass up the fries as they are good too! The size of the burger is alittle smaller than what you would get in the States but the meal is filling. Eating next... More

We stood for about 25 minutes in line, but it worth it. By far is the best burger in Berlin! Lecker!

This simply the best burger in the world. Try the chips with cheese too. Is a experience as the restaurant is located in a former toilet.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
