I organised a team dinner at the SolarBar and I could not not leave a review. True; the view is stunning but what amazed me most was how relax the staff was. You can imagine that a group of 30 guests is ...loud and demanding and you guys remained so cool and polite and professional!!! Thanks so much for that.... More

I had looked up he place for drinks with a view rather than food, and at first we had trouble finding this place as the entrance is slightly hidden. We changed our dinner plans and booked a table on a Friday night here. The place looks very much like a nightclub but is also a very fine restaurant! Food was... More

We had a business dinner for 22 people at Solar. Even though it was a rainy/cloudy night, the experience was awesome. And really surprisingly, the prices were reasonable! We arrived to be greeted by a doorman/bouncer and we rose to the top of the building on a glass elevator. At the top we dined on one floor with the rather... More

A glass elevator brings you to the top floor where you have astonishing view over Berlin. Contemporary decor, food and drinks. Extremely friendly staff serves exquisite meals. DJ turns the night into a party!

I recently visited this bar, the location is amazing and the decor modern and classy. We struggled to find any individuality within the cocktails and decided to go for the wine as the very dense cocktail menu didn't offer us a great choice. As well as this while at the bar and paying for our drinks the waitress very bluntly... More

This is a bar lounge on a top floor, allowing you to see the city from above. While the food is served with style (and far from being on the cheap end), I didn't faint. Maybe we over expected. The drinks though are fantastic. My recommendation is to go there for drinks at sundown. Enjoy.

We loved it here. The food was great. The atmosphere really nice and the views a great bonus. Try the espresso martini. It really wakes you up! :)

Stunning view compared with nice cocktails and a friendly atmosphere. When it's busy you have to wait a while for your order, but this venue is all about the view over Berlin.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
