Looks fairly simple but is a great coffee or breakfast spot with sun till late afternoon! No surprise that it is always packed. Portions are big while prices are small. The staff is kind, attentative but not pushy. I'll be back!

Went here for the brunch on the advice of our daughter who lives in Berlin and to be honest if I lived here I wouldn't be away from the place! It was very relaxing and authentic and the perfect place to unwind after walking around the local area. The staff were delightful and the service excellent. We had one of... More

We went there for dinner, it's a very nice cozy restaurant. The original Wiener schnitzel was very good, I can recommend it. Also they had the right potato salad for it, not the berlin typical one amazing!!! Good service and nice atmosphere gave it the final ****

Go here for breakfast and you'll find what Germans do best when it comes to food: huge delicious breakfasts, fresh rolls, eggs, sweet and savoury stuff.. Yummy! Would always come here again.

There were four of us, so we went for one standard sharing platter (for two) and one veg platter We all ate a whole lot and there were still left over It's a cozy place, with outdoor seating (which we lost the battle against wasps and so moved indoors) and friendly staff Decent value for money - has changed by... i have been twice in this place with my two kids and we really liked it (that's why we went a second time...) We have been once eating the specials meals of the month, special choices correlated to asparagus (spargel !). I took the tagliatelle with asparagus, my daughters, the classical asparagus with ham and Hollandisch sauce and the risotto... More

I stopped by with my friend for brunch. I got one of the large breakfast plates with meat, cheese, and bread. Everything was very good, the coffee was excellent, and it was a great portion for the price. I really enjoyed the atmosphere -- very relaxed and chilled out. I could have stayed for a while!

This is my usual breakfast hangout spot in Berlin, they have a really good selection of fruhstuck teller (basically a mountain of meat, cheese abd bread) for both vegetarians (without the meat obviously) and meat eaters. The location is perfect on Orderbergerstraße, the outdoor seating is great, but this means it can get very busy on Sundays because of the... More

A bit of a scruffy restaurant, with a smoking room in the back, but the food was excellent and the service was swift and friendly. If you can handle a faint whiff of tobacco I would definitely recommend it.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
