We wanted to find a special place to celebrate my birthday and we found this restaurant which had a lot of good reviews so we decided to give it a try and although we were't not sure at all that a restaurant inside a mall would be fine... but we were absolutely not dissapointed, we found a treasure! When you... More

This was the second time we visited this Japanese restaurant. The main reason of our visits was the pleasure to enjoy a gorgious "Teppanyaki" (a Japanese dish of meat, fish, or both, fried with vegetables on a hot steel plate forming the center of the dining table). It was once again a positive confirmation! The only negative thing, already also... More

Very expensive but very good restaurant. You can enjoy delicious food at noon with cheaper price less than 50 Euro.

The restaurant is beautiful, the cooks are well trained and prepare the food in front of you eyes. The japanese food is slighlty adapted to the european taste but it still tastes really authentic. Over all a great diner, recommended

When we arrived at the Europa centre (frankly a mall that looks a bit run down) we considered turning around... but v glad we ddint. Once you step into Daitokai, tripping along a little path with a koi pond either side, you soon realise it is authentic Japanese. We sat at a bar table, all tables had cooking plates, so... More

Very good food prepared in the Japanese traditional way, on the hot cooking plate, in front of you, from your "personal" cook. Extremely kind personnel and service. Cost around 75/85€ per person, but it worth to try it and the final feeling I had was positive. Only one remark and one comment. The remark is that the hood could (must)... More

We had a blast, we ordered shashimi, sushi, and a tappan-yaki dish (meal prepared on the hot table). The food was presented to us before it was prepared. you can split a dish in 2, so you can try more dishes. For dessert we ordered tappan-yaki icecream - delicious! If you are in berlin, you should definitely go here!

Went there with my family and our friends (2 kids of 5 and 3). The kids were chasing fishes in the little pond in the middle of the restaurant, while the grown ups were offered to sit by the teppan. The food was nice, also they use local meet and other products, it all tasted rather well. Didn't try the... More

Great little find for our last evening in Berlin which topped off a perfect holiday. Located inside the Europa Centre, a slightly strange location for a type of restaurant like this. The tables are shared as you sit around a Tepanyaki grill. A very varied menu with different sushi's and meals, however my partner & I went for the set... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
