Perhaps the best meal we have eaten in some time. Great value too, superb wine, beautifully displayed food. But gee whiz... if i want to be spoken to in a condescending way... i will stay at home with my teenage children. I won't dwell on it. I am used to this kind of treatment from German service staff... and the... More

Based on reviews, I was looking forward to eat there and it was a massive deception. The food was okay, nothing special, but well done. The service is catastrophic. No menu, one must look up a board on the wall to see what is available. Waiters claimed to 'be the menu' but couldn't recommend a wine to go along with... More

Loved the ambience of this place. Went for a friend's birthday dinner and loved it. Small tables in amber candlelight, friendly service, and daily menus on chalkboards really made me like this place. We were there for over three hours, but not because of bad service... But because it's a great place to spend time. I had roast beef with... More

My friends and I had a bad experience during our first time with the service quality but the food was very nice and we decided to return. I'm glad! The second time was perfect, their service was good and food always taste good. Better to make a reservation as the place always get crowded. The price is a bit pricey... More

I really love this place! I came with friends from Lebanon. The owner comes to you, asks you if everything is going well... great food, amazing atmosphere and great wine... A MUST in Berlin!

Without reservation we went to the restaurant, finally arrived, the restaurant moved 150 mtrs further. You really need to make a reservation, the place is busy and not without a reason. Very friendly staff, good price and we had a very nice diner. Certainly worth to go!

The owner is a proper restauranteur, and knows how to work tables and the room. He is charming and remembers everything without writing it down. Food could be a little better, atmosphere made up for it's shortcomings.

Staying in Neukolln

Neighborhood Profile
Neukolln
No Berlin neighborhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as "Little Istanbul." Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
