If you're visiting Berlin, you cannot visit and not go to The Bird. With a buzzing atmosphere, it is essential you book in advance. It is suitable for vegetarians too and the burgers and food are amazing. I would love to go back if I ever go back to Berlin!

The burgers are really good, the staff were also very attentive. The toilets smelt really badly of urine was our only criticism.

I am in love with The Bird since 2011 and going there on a regular basis. For me this is THE burger. My favorite is the The Big Crack with extra bacon, medium. My second pick is The Birdhouse. I love that they don't have a regular burger bun but an English muffin instead: I'm here for the meat, the... More

I loved this place: the staff is lovely and everyone speaks a perfect English, the music was great and the burger was one of the best I have ever tasted! The meat was so good and so well cooked! The menu is also super funny and the beer is cheap, which is always a plus ;) Very satisfied with the... More

Was advised to go to the Bird by English friends for "the best Burger ever" and whilst it was very good I wouldn't say it was the best ever, although would get in my top 5. I would say book, we arrived and only just got a seat at the bar. The place is lively, with good music and friendly... More

This restaurant's burger is one of the best I have ever eaten. The size of the portions and the quality justify the price.Definitely value for money. The locale is basically a pub and its location is a bit remote, but it is worth the time.Due to its popularity,I would advice you to book a table in advance, especially if you plan a visit on... Honestly, one of the worst burgers i have ever had. To have good meat is not enough to make a good burger. The chips were disgusting, flop and wet.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
