This place is definitely worth going out of your way to find. There is a great atmosphere and the staff were great too. We ordered the chicken wings as a starter and they were completely tasteless. The sauce was like a brown gravy and not like any kind of wing sauce I've ever had. We only ate a couple and... More

Recently visited The Bird after many recommendations. It was very nice with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The service is not that quick but that's due to the burgers being grilled and cooked properly. They are very big with lovely chips and a salad as well. I do recommend for burger lovers.

We ordered a table a few weeks ahead. The restaurant is in a chill neighborhood, easy to reach with a tram. The staff were friendly and spoke great English, and the menu was in English as well (First time I encountered such a menu in Berlin!) it was humorful and easy to understand. We ordered 4 burgers and chicken wings.... More

On our second attend to finally have dinner at the bird we witnessed a very busy place which had a good selection of different burgers. I would have liked the choice of more side dishes but I guess everyone can live with French fries. There were so many people working and running around, it was very crowded and busy. But... More

Did not meet our expectations at all. Very disappointing. Meet was okay but the general flavor was not very good Service was great though and the place had a cool vibe

It's like tasting what love feels like. The bun, kind of an English muffin, soft but crispy; the beef, perfectly cooked. The melted cheese that gives the palate a sweet caress. It isn't called the Dirty Harry for nothing, it's as good as a newborn relationship! Goes perfectly with a beer and a laugh. And the decorum is one to... More

Went there with gf and friends. Burgers are greasy, tasty and servings are generous. Good fries. If you order napalm wings: eat the burger first. Seriously.

As an American, I've had my fair share of good burgers. The burgers from this place are food-gasm good. The food is worth the ~15 minute wait. My two minor criticisms are that it took a bit longer than I'd like to get the check and the music was a tad loud. Overall, definitely worth the time and money.

Visited with friend zone. Just walked in at 1800 and got a table. If you want to dine later, you must book. We had the house burger which was divine! Kids (and big kids like me!) would love it.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
