A must try Burger!

My friend and I went to eat there last week when we were in Berlin and boy was it worth it! we took the recommended one from the menu (Da Birdhouse) and it was made exactly as we asked them to. the fries where good too and i really liked that the burger buns weren't big so you could enjoy the burger patty more. if you are in Berlin you must try this burger!

A must if you love burgers

We were only in Berlin for 3 nights and came here on our first night and made sure we came on our last too! We both had medium rare burgers which were perfect, chips were so tasty and the cheesecake.....just delicious. BRLO beer served too which we didn't see anywhere else despite being a local brewery, which was the perfect accompaniment!

Still good but need to be careful with overcooking meat

I have been going to the Bird for the last years regulary. I recommend their griddle burger but please guys be careful not overcooking your meat. The last two times I ask for medium rare it came totally overcooked. You guys mentioned on your menu not to ask the meat well done but this is exactly how it came the last two times. It s a shame!

Good food, bad hygiene

The food was not bad, the burgers were quite tasty. One thing i didnt like is that the barman didnt want to cook the burger of my wife well done and he insisted that i will take 20 more minutes then mine.. Firstable we were not talking about a Dry aged Black angus or Wagyu Ribeye and secondly, since we are paying, i believe we can decide how cooked we want the beef patty to be. The worst part of the night was sitting at the bar because we had to see how they wash the Beer glasses and thats why this place gets 2 stars. They take the glass from the customer and dont use any sort of dishwasher, they put it in a used bowl of soap and then rinse it in another bowl of used water and let it rinse.. The sanitary service of the country should apply some rules regarding the restaurants, hope this wont happen in every place in Germany

I went with a friend, although the place was crowded the waitress helped us and got us a table. The people were friendly and the food was good, the burguer was really tasty, the only down side were the fries as we didn't really liked them and the chicken wings that I have heard so much about were not spicy at all, I even had to ask for more napalm sauce.... But that's a personal preference. I will go there again.

After reading amazing reviews 10 of us booked in for Saturday 16th April while on a weekend away in Berlin. We arrived and were seated fine, after 10 minutes or so we ordered food and drinks but that's where our long wait began. We waited 50 minutes for our starters after prompting staff on several occasions which I think is unacceptable. While still waiting for mains we were offered complimentary drinks after questioning customer service and threatening to leave. Staff were scrambling to get our meals out, everything seemed a bit rushed and when the food arrived a couple of the lads said their burgers were cold in the middle or undercooked. Shocking experience and based on this would not recommend.

Best burger EVER!

I’ve been there just once but I’ll come back soon because I had the best hamburger of my life! A friend of mine suggested me this place, and after a deep research on Instagram (I always look at the tagged pictures before going to a restaurant) Idecided to give it a try. I had to wait 1 hour for the food to arrive, but it’s the only downside of my experience there..the burger was totally worth it, I’ve never tasted such a juicy meat! Not to mention the bread, super fresh, and the potatoes, super crispy! If you happen to be nearby it’s a MUST try!

This place has ruined burgers for me!

The food in this place is amazing! I've never had such a good burger and the extras are also very good. It's not a place for healthy eating, so expect to eat alot of calorific food, however there must be room for their only dessert - cheesecake. This was worth the visit on it's own. Staff were friendly and the service was quick (medium-rare burgers helped) and the prices were fair. So good we went back 2 days later on a 4 day trip!

Enough Greasy to Kill a Donkey!!

If you love burgers this is the place to GO! These burgers were so juicy and bug with a huge side of fries was enough to fill you up. This is not a place you visit if your looking for a healthy meal, you come here to get fat! The best was the burger my partner order that said "enough grease to kill a donkey" and I'm sure it was. Great little hidden gem.

The Bird was recommended by friends of ours for the food. The food was, indeed, very good. However the staff were totally disinterested, inattentive, almost as if we were not there. Humourless, never making eye contact, not once coming to the table if we needed anything. Only 5 tables were occupied inside yet our waitress was more interested in having a smoke outside. We waited in vain for anyone to co.e to the table and had to attract the attention of someone to come to the table. Nobody asked if we liked our food, during or after the meal even when we were paying. On the way out the lady on the door was sta ring there. We expected at least a goodbye and that she hoped we had enjoyed our evening. No. She just turned her back as we walked out the door. Appalling customer service. If I was cooking in the kitchen of the bird I would be incensed that what should have been a good experience was irreparably marred by the front if house. Not one person in the team of 5 visible to us had any personality or care for the customers. It is not surprising that they had a big "hiring" sign on the front window if this is also how they treat each other. Avoid. Worst service we had (or more accurately didn't have) in Berlin for the whole 10 days we were here.

You never leave hungry from The Bird. The burgers are really, the fries even better. During the summer, it’s always packed so book a table just in case. During our visit in January, it was surprisingly empty though. The food was good as ever, and we tried cheesecake for the first time! It was really good. The burger portions are large so keep that in mind if you want to order starters, too. A great tip: always order your burger cooked one up from what you really want. If you want a medium-rare, order a medium.

Visiting Berlin we had no sense of direction when it came to finding somewhere to eat. We chose this place because of the quality comments that were giving, and boy did they live up to them!! Amazing food, friendly staff and atmosphere. Meal portions were amazing 😉 just be wary that loses fries are huge and will probably cover your plate!!

Trust me, you'll get a great burger

I've been a frequent eater at The Bird. It's a burger joint with a PLUS. Make a reservation, and have a table. It sits at the bar, as I did at my 1st visit. Service at the tables can be a bit slow, but this is a busy place. They'll serve you, so you're finished within your 1,5 hours. The burgers are great, and you're obliged to eat with your hands 👿

When The Bird opened it had a drive and the food was fun and tasty. We had looked foreward to revisiting the place, but yesterday the food was sloppy, there was no more chicken so I had lentil patties - they were dry, the fries were burnt, the music loud and the waitress didn't even say goodnight when we left. Not worth a come-back.

Raw burger and close fries

The Bird lives on old hype, but has become far too expensive compared to what is actually delivered. We ordered 4 different burgers, it took approx. 45 min. 2 of them were raw, that is, completely raw! Flash-fried only! One ordered as medium-Well, the other medium. They were sent back, one medium Well came after 10 min and was fairly cooked.. the other, was first tried to be delivered to another table by a rather indifferent waitress. A little later it came to me. I could then ascertain that it was the same burger/plate and the fries were now boring/cold/sloppy.... I complained again, and here I probably expected someone to have taken action... but when everyone at my table has finished, one (maybe the same burger) comes in again... still as raw as before... and I then eat around the edge and leave the rest . Fries are such grumblers, completely saturated with oil, only because I hope it's not like that, but it looks like leftovers that have had a trip or two in the fryer. Just the thought addrrrr. I got away with paying for my burger…. But it's little consolation when you're halfway through Berlin and you leave hungry... it's simply not what it used to be... and at the same price as in KBH (which is expensive enough) there's no delivery at all. Cannot be recommended.
