A very poor dining experience I’m afraid. We waited over 1 hour for 2 burgers and by the time they arrived, we had just discussed with one of the staff of our intention to leave. Both my wife and I also went to the rest...rooms and there was no toilet paper or hand towels to dry yourself. What was abundantly clear was that their is a lack of front of house staff, one girl running around trying to deal with everything. The table next to us cleared and it took 15 minutes before the food was removed from the table. Decent food but service was not good. After reading amazing reviews 10 of us booked in for Saturday 16th April while on a weekend away in Berlin. We arrived and were seated fine, after 10 minutes or so we ordered food and drinks but that's where our long wait began. We waited...50 minutes for our starters after prompting staff on several occasions which I think is unacceptable. While still waiting for mains we were offered complimentary drinks after questioning customer service and threatening to leave. Staff were scrambling to get our meals out, everything seemed a bit rushed and when the food arrived a couple of the lads said their burgers were cold in the middle or undercooked. Shocking experience and based on this would not recommend.More

Been here several times during the last 10 years and it is always a super positive experience! If you call yourself a burger-lover then give this place a chance, you won't regret it! But don't forget to reserve a table!

We went there for dinner. Food is delicous, there is a nice atmosphere and service is rapid and kind.

First class experience from the moment we arrived. We hadn’t booked but the server was cool & let us sit for a drink. After 15 mins there was a cancellation and she seated us. No drama, no rush. When The Bird opened it had a drive and the food was fun and tasty. We had looked foreward to revisiting the place, but yesterday the food was sloppy, there was no more chicken so I had lentil patties - they were dry, the fries...were burnt, the music loud and the waitress didn't even say goodnight when we left. WTF ??? Who sells tosties as burger buns ??? That was by far the worst experience in the burger segment of my entire life. I would like to give -3 stars for this culinary atrocity. The Bird was recommended by friends of ours for the food. The food was, indeed, very good. However the staff were totally disinterested, inattentive, almost as if we were not there. Humourless, never making eye contact, not once coming to the table if we needed...anything. Only 5 tables were occupied inside yet our waitress was more interested in having a smoke outside. We waited in vain for anyone to co.e to the table and had to attract the attention of someone to come to the table. Nobody asked if we liked our food, during or after the meal even when we were paying. On the way out the lady on the door was sta ring there. We expected at least a goodbye and that she hoped we had enjoyed our evening. No. She just turned her back as we walked out the door. Appalling customer service. If I was cooking in the kitchen of the bird I would be incensed that what should have been a good experience was irreparably marred by the front if house. Not one person in the team of 5 visible to us had any personality or care for the customers. It is not surprising that they had a big "hiring" sign on the front window if this is also how they treat each other. Avoid. Worst service we had (or more accurately didn't have) in Berlin for the whole 10 days we were here.More

I have been celebrating my birthdays and bringing every friend visiting Berlin to this place for the last 10 years. Sadly after today I won't ever come back. I'm not sure what happened after covid but Burgers are not as tasty, staff is not friendly...and the overall great experience it used to be does not exist anymore. Tbh there are other burger joints as good or better in Berlin for half the price. So I encourage you to try them out and avoid this place. Don't be fooled by the old reviews it's not what it used to be!More
