This place is just fantastic. Best vietnamese food I've ever had. On top of it the waiters are so sweet and the place itself is very cozy. Go there if you have the chance!

Hi, this is a nice spot to stop. A small little, cosy place, where you can enjoy nice, fresh, homemade Vietnamese cooking. Watch out for the daily offerings and if you have a Faible for tea... that is also a recommendation. I like to sit outside in summer... as you experience the Prenzlauer Berg as it is. The guys are... Small cosy restaurant in Prenslaur Berg, East Berlin. This was our introduction to Vietnamese cuisine and we loved it. Food was tasty and well presented and the staff were very helpful.

Wow. The food here is outstanding. The tables are a little awkward, but once you settle in, the ambiance is wonderful. Everything is very fresh and presented beautifully. From the cocktails, to the dinner, to dessert. Fresh, interesting, beautiful and delicious. My daughters are both vegetarian, and their vegetarian menu is extensive. One had the vegetarian Pho, and the other... More

We went to Si An to spend a nice evening with friends, all of us love Vietnamese kitchen. The restaurant is small and lovely, we loved all the small details, still one should know that due to the size of the restaurant you'll sit really close to your neighbors ;) All of us ordered different dishes (pho, salad, ...) we... We ate just appetizers. Mango salad, green papaya w/ chicken, spring rolls and a Bao Burger. The Bao Buger was a hamburger, but, oddly, with that fresh Vietnamese taste. it was good. The mango salad and green papaya salads were very clean but complicated...lime, mint, basel...all good. It is a pretty place.

Very nice setting. Surprising fusion-style dishes. Definitely not a traditional Vietnamese restaurant.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
