We got a big sidewalk table and had a simple delicious country italian lunch with great wines and antipasto and crusty bread and good pastas.

We arrived Sunday evening very late hoping to get a meal. It was very rainy outside and the kitchen would close in 10 but still we're welcomed in. the staff were very kind and friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We had the best truffle pasta I had ever had and a Parma and tomato spaghetti which was also... More

There is actually no kitchen in this place - they cook everything behind the counter. Therefore, groups of 8 or more have to settle on max. three dishes, and you are served huge bowls. No problem, since the food is excellent. The menu is small, and filled with tasty, excellent Italian cuisine. I have been there several times, and never... More

Went here for a weekday lunch. Busy, good crowd. Delicious pasta!! Our table ordered tagliatelle rustics and fico. Both amazing and creative. Outdoor seating, dog friendly, English speaking. Good service. Definitely worth a visit!

Crowded place for a Tuesday evening. Friendly Service, a bit of waiting - but not to the extend that I find it annoying - and excellent Pasta. The open Pinot Grigio I first ordered (when I was still alone, waiting for my friends) was the worst I have ever had in my life - I just nibbed on it and... More

Was very quiet when we're there and service was good. Waiter was nice but had quite an attitude. We shared a cheese antipasto plate and a meat antipasto plate. Absolutely delicious. Piled high with many selections. Very tasty.

The place is unbelievably slow, I mean so much so it ruins your night, the food is good but nothing special, and slightly overpriced.

We had a quick, tasty and filling lunch consisting of gorgonzola gnocchi which were great and an extremely refreshing lemonade served in old jam jars with striped straws. Quite a visual treat as well.

My wife and I were strolling the shops in Mitte on a warm spring evening and stumbled upon this place. We were hungry and the aroma was quite attractive. We were lucky that the first seatings were just finishing up, so we were able to take a table on the sidewalk, without making a reservation. Even though the place was... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
