I had a tasty chicken ravioli soup to start and then a pork and dark beer dish for main, with dumplings. Relatively inexpensive and traditional food, but not 100% sure i would go back again as some of the other dishes looked a bit hit or miss.

This is nearly a perfect place -- very good food, very reasonably priced, and great service. We had an excellent meal, with starters and drinks, and nearly couldn't believe the bill -- a real bargain! Great décor, casual and classy. A very welcoming place. We will be there again on our next visit!

Basically this place is what every bistro in the U.K. Is trying to be. Fantastic food, brilliant service (even in English they where friendly, lively and entertaining) and a lovely atmosphere. We stumbled across this by accident and went in on a whim, as it's about 200m from our flat it's probably a whim my belt buckle will regret!

An intimate local with old furniture in a popular cafe street. Friendly and effective service. Good or very good german dishes, deserts are lighter than the often heavy german food. Good value for money.

Very close to Mauerpark (U-Bahn 2), Oderquelle offers excellent local food for good price. My suggestion is to book a table, because the restaurant is not that big.

Warm welcome, delicious real food, lovely service and glowing ambiance. Just what we were looking for in Berlin. We didn't even feel like tourists in this lovely spot where candlelight dances off the walls and waiters and waitresses want you to have a special evening. Somewhat off the beaten track, which is a wonderful place to be in Berlin.

Nice place in a very "in" environment - with lots of pubs around to choose from. Very good service, lovely food. Well recommended for a "stopover" :-)

My boyfriend and I visited oderquelle after reading it's fantastic reviews online and were not disappointed. We went on a Monday evening at around 20:30 and were instantly shown to a table in a side room, there were a few locals having a drink in there but the waiter made a joke of dimming the lights in there to set... Oderquelle's kitchen is simply excellent. Here you get an outstanding variety of traditional German dishes that are not easy to find elsewhere. It offers very interesting daily menus, too. It has a very good selection of wines. Ok, there are better beers available in Germany, but that's a matter of taste. "Oderquelle" is definitely one of the best restaurants in... More

Came in without a reservation, four of us could take the last table. Large portions, good quality, very fair prices. We enjoyed the duck, veal ragout and ravioli. The dessert creme brule was the finishing touch. Recommended.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
