After a long day of sight-seeing we did not fancy to venture far from our hotel for dinner. When we saw that several tables in this restaurant were occupied by Japanese guests we assumed that the food would be good. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helped us with selecting our dinner. We did not select... More

Ishin has 4 restaurants in Berlin and I must say admit that I have only been to the one in Charlottenstrasse. I visited the Ishin in Mitte nearly ten times and have tried many different dishes. What I particularly enjoy at Ishin, is the wide variety of fish – I don't think any other Japanese restaurant in Berlin has this... More

Good service, food is fresh and the menus are in good variety . Value for money.Amazing to see, how the nice and polite personal manage to serve the no of hungry folks. It' s a pity, that it is closed for the afternoon . Seems that the business is very good.

Arrived late, but they still managed to serve our group. Not bad selection of sushi & rolls. Somewhat standard fare, but that's not a complaint for here. They do not accept credit cards, so its a minor irritation for business meals - but that's a really minor nit. All-in-al, we were happy with our dinner.

Ishin serves authentic sushi, sashimi, tempura and donburi style dishes accompanied by above average quality green tea. Staff is very polite even at lunchtime when it can get extremely overcrowded. Quality and style wise, it is one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants of this type in Germany. There are several Ishin restaurants in Berlin, the best in my opinion... More

there are always many customers and you can already knew how popular it is. great location, great food and great price. 生意一直都很好,味道不错,价格公道,因为隔壁就是柏林工大和艺大,所以有很多学生过来吃饭,有一种大食堂的感觉。这里是吃便饭,环境要求没那么高但也没那么糟,味道很靠谱的地方。

I had the salmon sushi set for 8 euro. The taste is not amazing but okay enough for the price. However, try to go on the happy hour (mon-fri from 11am till 4pm, i think. But all day for happy hour on Saturday). I will definitely come back to ishin again.

Ishin is my favourite japanese restaurant. Cheap, original, fresh, tasty. Well sometimes it can get really crowded that you have to wait about 30 min to get seated. The menus are sushi(Spicy Tuna Maki is my fav), soups, rice steamed with fish(5-8 euros), a lot of variations of rice bowl with fresh fish(7-10euros) and also sashimi. They have delicious dessert... The food was great - fresh, nicely arranged and very tasty :) We often eat Sushi, and this is one of the best places we have visited! We also liked the atmosphere though it is a busy place.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
